A bread maker is a household small-sized electromechanical device, the main function of which is the automated production of tin bread, from kneading dough to baking a finished bakery product.

The bread maker has long been an attribute of many cuisines and therefore did not expect at all that something might not be modified in this device. The basic design of modern household bread makers is practically the same - a body, a trough for baking portions, a kneading mechanism including a motor and a stirrer, an electric heating element, and a control chamber. We will not find anything particularly different here, but however the range of prices in the city's shops is from 4 to 10 thousand rubles. The main differences are in design and possible baking programs, everything else is about the same. Based on these considerations, a cheap Moulinex B02-A was purchased for 4,500 rubles.



Already at first glance, the not neat plastics of the top panel and the crookedly installed information display on the control panel immediately catch the eye. The next problem came out when I tried to connect the stove on the table. The power cord is not removable, and the stove's cable plug did not fit into the hole in the table for connecting kitchen utensils. It was decided to cut off the wire and install a socket for the plug (I don’t know the name - how to connect computers), so it became possible to remove the stove after using it.



But that's not all, we learned about the basic problem later. Let's remember the proverb - the first pancake is lumpy. Of course, I did not expect the first baked bread to be crispy and creamy. But after a couple of months of periodic attempts to correct my mistakes, I came to the conclusion that the problem is still in the stove. During this time, probably 5 different yeasts and the same amount of flour were tried, a bunch of forums on this topic were re-read, 4 different sets of recipes for making dough for kneading were used, and all to no avail - the bread does not rise completely, it is not baked inside.

At this, patience ran out and the stove was sent to the shelf for long-term storage ... Several months passed and I wondered what was actually wrong with this stove? The stove was immediately dismantled to look for a possible cause. In the process of disassembly, technological omissions were immediately discovered, which obviously affect the price category of the final product. Firstly, these are the sharp edges of the metal case, they are so sharp that without gloves further disassembly becomes dangerous. The top panel is fastened with clips and self-tapping screws, almost all the self-tapping screws were screwed in with excessive effort, which made them simply scroll. Finally removing the top panel I saw the insides.



Inside, everything is not as scary as expected. But I noticed the reason for the non-heating right away - there is no thermal insulation between the outer case and the inner tank, that is, it turns out that the heating element is simply not enough to heat the product and heat the environment. From this it turns out that the manufacturer saved on materials without performing additional tests of the final product, which actually undermined its reputation - I will not take Moulinex anymore ...



Okay, let's leave it on the conscience of the manufacturer, and we will solve our problem with little blood, do not throw out the bread maker because of this. The solution to the problem was found in the heat-insulating material used by builders to insulate the outer walls, which is very similar to glass wool.Having bought one meter of thermal insulation (here the sellers in the store cursed when they cut off one meter from a huge roll :-)) I brought the disassembled stove to the garage and started modernizing. Since the material is lint, and the kitchen process must be sterile, then I packed the cotton wool in foil that I took from my wife in the kitchen.



The finished package with insulation wool was carefully attached to the wall of the case. This was followed by the assembly of the bread maker and handing it over to his wife for further experiments. This time, the bread immediately rose and baked.
