  • I received the recipe from a German migrant with the name krebli and the story that this is a German dish. At first I cooked it, then somehow I began to monitor the nutrition and the recipe was forgotten. Recently we started talking about donuts and my husband reminded me, they say, you remember, you cooked such a tasty treat, then you stopped.
  • I went to the Internet and there they all call these krebli a Russian dish))) and write Russische Krepli.
  • Krebli is not donuts or brushwood, it is something in between, but tasty.
  • So a Russian dish with German roots.
  • We take kefir or yogurt, mix with sour cream and heat a little. Add soda there and set aside for a while, while collecting the following ingredients, just for a couple of minutes. The baking soda will go out and the mixture will become so loose.
  • Add eggs, salt, sugar and dry yeast, mix and start adding flour.
  • Do not put all the flour at once, look at the dough, it should sort of gather into a bun, but be sticky at the same time.
  • Then we will need to roll it out.
  • We leave the dough for about an hour, it will not rise much, but this is not important.
  • Roll out and cut the dough into rectangles.

  • We heat the oil in a frying pan, a lot, fry our krebli, then put it on paper towels so that the oil is absorbed from them

  • Fry over medium heat. This is fast, if you fry in a deep fryer, then even faster, you do not need to turn it over there.
  • This is not a donut or brushwood, a bit like curd dough, but not quite, try it, you won't regret it !!!
