Ingredients

Water 1 liter
Flour 400 g
Eggs 3 pcs
Salt 1 tsp without slide
Sugar 2-3 st. l
Refined vegetable oil 3-4 tbsp. l

Cooking method

  • We have Maslenitsa, which means one more recipe for pancakes, I hope no one has exhibited this yet, because my mom taught me, who baked this recipe even when there were no computers at all, and the recipes were cut out of magazines, and at least some culinary book was not really found in our area. There was no recipe as such, she did everything by eye, it was over time that I figured out what was needed, although from time to time I bake everything by sight in the old fashioned way.
  • Pretty budget recipe, if there are 2-3 eggs in the house and about a pound of flour, then you already have pancakes.
  • And so let's get started: combine the eggs with salt and sugar and beat lightly, add a glass of water, boiled and cooled (when I'm in a hurry, I just take water from the tap, because we have artesian water).
  • Add sifted flour and knead well so that there are no lumps. Next, pour out the rest of the water and mix well again. At the end, add vegetable oil as always.
  • I do the entire kneading process with a mixer, sometimes with a stationary blender, and you do as you are used to, the main thing so that the result is a homogeneous dough in terms of density about a drinking yogurt.
  • It bakes in a well-heated frying pan, before the first pancake I grease the frying pan with vegetable oil once, then I don't do this anymore. I don't know why, perhaps due to the fact that the dough is on water, but sometimes the first pancake sticks if you don't grease the pan with subsequent pancakes, this does not happen, but they go beyond this norm ~ 45 pieces.
  • The pancakes come out soft and tasty, today they ate some like that, and filled the rest curd filling: 400 gr. cottage cheese, 4 tbsp. l. sour cream, 5 tbsp. l. sugar, 300 gr. cherries from compote.

Tanya, hello my friend, my mommy loved to cook pancakes in the same way. I've been thinking about this today, reading different recipes for pancakes, with a more weighted composition. Moreover, my mother could bake part in the evening and put part of the dough in the refrigerator, so that in the morning she could bake fresh ones and wrap, for example, raspberries with sugar just picked in the garden. And this despite the fact that there was fresh homemade milk.
I support that the recipe, with all the simplicity of the ingredients, is good and it doesn't matter that there is no milk in the house, that is, water always means that if you wish, you will have pancakes.

Pancakes can be baked even if you only have flour, water, salt and soda. And if you add sugar there, then it's a fairy tale! In the post, such pancakes are the very thing. You just need to eat hot. Or store under a thick napkin.
