I will allow myself to quote a wonderful post from our respected one-forum woman:
Quote: Lola
So much has been said about the benefits of cooking in a multicooker ...
I will try, without missing a word, to combine all the joys of using this product - MULTI-COOKERS -
So, in my opinion,
- to have such a compact (about 28 cm in diameter and 28 cm in height), very wise (I'm talking about the program and the functions put into this wonderful creature) and the unit that saves our time and effort would like to have in my kitchen any hostess.
- The multicooker functions are incomparable! I will list:
1. "buckwheat" mode I use this mode (very often) for cooking various cereals. By the way, by changing the amount of water and cereals, you can change both the viscosity and the degree of steaming of the porridge. I would also like to say about the delayed cooking mode - timer - Just a super function! Who among us does not like to soak up the bed in the morning for an extra hour? So the multicooker, as the best helper, allows us to do this, having prepared a delicious porridge by the appointed time without our additional intervention! It is awfully pleasant to wake up, as in childhood, to the fragrant aroma of porridge.
2. "pilaf" mode And I use this mode often. It is very good to cook rice and everything connected with it in this mode. Rice with all kinds of fillings and pilaf. And I want to say that the manufacturers write that the pilaf is not traditional, but dietary. I want to note that it is in this mode can cook pilaf and traditional (although the cooking process before putting it in a multicooker is a little more troublesome, but it's worth it). It turns out very tasty!
3. "milk porridge" mode. I'll just say ... very tasty! The question of semolina has been raised here more than once. I think that this problem is also solvable. I will definitely try and report back. There are some ideas, I will try to bring them to life (as soon as there is a little more time) Yes, I almost forgot! The question was raised several times whether the milk would turn sour if the timer was set. I can say NO with complete confidence! Milk not turns sour! Used more than once milk and "long-playing" and perishable. There was never a failure! Everything turns out very tasty! Have you tried it with dried fruits? Mmm, be sure to try - a fairy tale!
4. "baking" mode. Since I ABAZE to bake various goodies - you yourself understand - this mode (as well as all others) is in great demand. What can I say ... I have not yet managed such a biscuit as in a slow cooker in any oven! For example, I will say that I cut the biscuit cooked in the oven into only three cakes. While the sponge cake, cooked in a slow cooker, I cut into five. The difference is palpable! What did I not bake ... I even cooked dumplings in this mode. Ahh, I haven't tasted bread yet. I will, I will report.
5. "extinguishing" mode. Immediately I want to warn everyone against the error of comparing this mode with the Dolgars !!! Of course there is something similar, but far from the same thing! I think the secret lies in the multicooker valve! While the dolgars have a simple hole in the lid. Let me give you an example: I read on various sites discussing long-cooked cooking that chicken in a long-cooked cooker takes 3-4 hours or more to cook. I can say with complete confidence that chicken cooked in "stewing" mode for 1.5-2 hours melts in the mouth without any chewing. And if the chicken is cooked for 4 hours in a slow cooker, then it can be eaten with bones (just kidding of course!). But in fact, the bones become very soft, which my dog is incredibly happy about.
There are a lot of dishes that require long-term simmering, for example, baked milk.I try to try everything, but I don't have enough time, and the multicooker is often busy preparing this or that dish.
By the way, for cooking meat masterpieces in the "stewing" mode, I advise you to try the Worcestershire barbecue sauce (do not overdo it with the amount - a very active smell).
What can I say about this mode I often use ... super !!! All soups and meat delicacies are fabulous in this mode.
6. "steam cooking" mode. Wonderful mode! I remember using a steamer and frown. In a multicooker, this mode is thought out impeccably! I use the mode for steaming fish, fresh vegetables, meat rolls (! And in foil too!) And, it seems to me, it cooks in a multicooker a couple of times faster than in a double boiler.
These are my feelings from using a super-duper smart unit and my favorite kitchen assistant - a multicooker.

Ludmila
Good evening! Allow a few more questions from the "teapot":
- the multicooker interferes with the food, well, like a blade in a bread maker? ...
- if you cook porridge in the evening, and leave it on "heating" until morning, will it be like freshly boiled? And then suddenly, if you program cooking for the morning, something will not work out and the husband will be left without porridge - then he will eat me.
Thank you in advance!!!
Elena Bo
Lyudmila, the multicooker does not interfere, there are no blades in it. It is still better to cook porridge in the morning, cooked in the evening can turn sour if you leave it in a cartoon all night. I would not dare to make such experiments.
snezana
I am, of course, the "Teapot". But somewhere I saw that the multicooker can be used as a deep fryer. How to do it? Do you need to buy something for this? Questions about the dangers of deep fat, please do not discuss. Thank you in advance.
Korata
I definitely didn’t do it, but surely pour oil and put the oven in the "steaming" mode .. in this mode the most active constant heating goes .. although I may not be right - I never did it.
Can anyone have tried it already? I will be interested too ..
Dyudyuka Barbidokskaya
Experienced multicooker owner, tell me, quiet clicks during the program - stewing, is this the norm? The multicooker was received only yesterday, now I put the meat on, this is the first turn-on, here I sit and suffer ... clicks are the norm or a marriage ... .... It feels like a hundred this timer makes such sounds….
Elena Bo
Clicks are normal. The heating element of the multicooker does not constantly heat, but only until a certain temperature is reached, and then only maintains it. Hence the clicks.
Girulka
even in the cartoon well, it's just cool to fry cutlets !!! Before that I hated frying them so much. Well, just some kind of hard labor when the beloved ordered! - fat on the entire stove, fried to mini-size, often burned out from the outside, if you can't put your eyes on them from the top to the end of frying, the smell throughout the apartment - the powerful hood did not help. Brrrrrr, creepy! And now it's just a miracle! I poured a little oil (better than olive oil) on the bottom, put the cutlets as much as necessary to eat at one time (I hope everyone will agree that the most delicious cutlets are when in the heat of the heat right away, and not warmed up from the refrigerator!), I turned on baking and 20 minutes each on each side. As a result, 40 minutes were spent (but this is not the 40 minutes when you are frightening over the cutlets without leaving the pan - the shob is not burnt!) of this size, if not even more, and get it ready), with a crispy crust, and inside the cutlet is as if steamed! For our insides, no stress from fried!
I made from turkey (yummy!), The size of an ordinary Kiev cutlet. Moreover, in those 40 minutes, I just had time to cook something for the side dish - either potatoes or vermicelli. Well, it's just a pleasure to stand at the stove !!! And then they also praise you, what a fine fellow you are!

And also, and also pasta, horns there all sorts of cool to cook! The main thing is to guess the water and the time! They cook for 10-15 minutes (I don't remember exactly, but it depends on pasta) in buckwheat mode.It turns out crumbly, does not stick together and then they do not need to be put into a colander - just right on a plate! Fast and much less dishes to wash after cooking! When I found out by typing that our lady can also make pasta, I was happy zhuuuuuut!
Sofim
And also, the owners of the multicooker, tell me what the factory packaging looks like? In the bread maker, the box was covered with dense solid cellophane, similar to the packaging of two six-liter bottles of water. It was evident that no one had opened it. Does the multicooker have the same packaging?
Elena Bo
The multicooker itself includes the multicooker itself, a saucepan is inserted into it, a plastic mesh pan for steaming, a plastic cup, a plastic spoon is inserted on top of the saucepan, the valve is inserted into the lid. Everything, there is nothing else there.
Boo Boo
the cord must also be in the composition, a film is glued on the board, a cardboard box is lying on my balcony, if necessary I can take a picture.
Mams
Multi's box in corporate colors, white and blue. There are inscriptions on it in two languages, Russian and Ukrainian. My box was wrapped in polyethylene, it was opened in front of me.
From pieces of paper, a small black and white book (in two languages), warranty card, check.
Lusiy
Everyone! Everyone! Who has multicooker! Please answer what is the internal volume of this thing? The store has a volume of 1.8 liters, and Internet stores write that 4.5 liters. And at the same time the priceaaaaaaaaaaaa !!!
lira70
1.8 these are internal risers, in order to know how much water to pour, and the pan itself is 4.5 liters
Mams
Quite right. Internal risers are needed to properly measure the water for cooking cereals when you cook a lot. The volume of the pot is 4.5 liters.
Lusiy
But the pot is very small! Like a saucepan for children's porridge, where from such a miracle can the whole family (as they say in the description) be fed! Yes, and the store confirmed to me that the volume is 1.8. Maybe they come in different sizes?
Kosha
Either they showed you something wrong in the store, or you are confusing something.

In a pan multi Panasoniс 4.5 l. With a standard load, you can feed 3-4 people with porridge (large portions). In this case, the finished porridge will only be half a saucepan!
Ellka
Lusiy
Are you sure you watched exactly what they are pushing about in this thread? Here they are talking about the Panasonic SR-TMB18 multicooker! Panasonic has one model with a 4.5 liter saucepan.
Lusiy
It is about this slow cooker that I'm talking about. It is exactly the same as in the picture on the internet. And in general, one is SUCH! But apparently you will have to familiarize yourself with the documents for it.

As for 4.5 liters. maybe a small pot? Surely there is a pot of this size at home. Take a look.

Maybe they meant that there you can cook something 1.8 kg? Well, for example, rice ... Or maybe it is in some other dimensions
Lusiy
Outwardly, it looks like a saucepan of five liters, or maybe a little more. But the inner cup, in which, as I understand it, the miracle of cooking takes place, in my opinion, does not pull more than 2 liters. Happy owners of a multicooker, am I wrong ?!
Elena Bo
Lusiy, everyone is telling you about the inner saucepan.
Mams
The inner saucepan of the Multicooker is 4.5 liters. Look at the Panasonic website for a description of this device. Don't look at the numbers inside. I already wrote that this is for cooking rice. The instructions say "the maximum amount of rice is 8 cups (for a multi cup - 150 ml), so count, this is 900 ml of rice. And 2.5 liters of water. That is, about 3.5 liters. Add more volume for boiling - here 4.5 liters and get it.

BuBu, similarly Closed the gas stove. I use it only in extreme cases, make an omelette quickly, for example. I dream of a second cartoon

I like to cook omelette most of all in a cartoon. Threw sausages, vegetables, straight out of the freezer), filled it with eggs and milk, 20 minutes. pastries and ... a fluffy omelet on a plate.I have an electric stove, so it turns out faster in a cartoon

I decided to inquire directly in the online store.
They told me that there is no difference in functional characteristics, the only difference is the BINCHO internal carbon coating to improve the drinking properties of water in the Panasonic SR-TMH18LTW model. So I don't know now which one to buy
Everywhere they sell Panasonic SR-TMB18, is it worth looking for SR-TMH18LTW?

Marinoch, does the SR-TMH18 have a smaller pan?

Quote: Leska

Marinoch, SR-TMH18 has a smaller pot volume.

No, both have a volume of 4.5 liters (as follows from the descriptions).
And the cover is (bincho) for both models. Most likely these letters are something not very significant, such as color.
Girls, but it's interesting - another multicooker model has appeared: Panasonic SR-TMH10ATW (SR-TMH10)

As I understand it, everything is the same, but the size of the pan is 2.5 liters.

Well, it costs less.

ZY he he, I read this topic. Well, I discovered America, you know about a small multicooker for a long time))
Tania73
Hello everybody!!!
I bought my TMV-18 mulka somewhere in May in
Yesterday I bought a godfather as a birthday present and a friend, and so I ordered in the same place. They brought TMH-18, in principle there is no particular difference. The difference is as follows: 1) the packing box has changed; 2) the coating of the bowl in TMH-18 in the internet says that it is coal, which improves the quality of water. In my opinion, this coating looks like an ordinary Teflon coating and the instructions do not say that this is a carbon coating, it just says that it should be handled with care, because during operation the coating will wear off over time, which is not said in the instructions for TMV-18 ; 3) the steam release valve has been changed; 4) the stop button is yellow.
torturesru
I have TMH-18. I compared the instructions, one to one. It looks like the index has changed due to some design change.
torturesru
I opened a valve from a friend's old MV and compared it with my own, the only difference is in the appearance of the platy shell of the upper part. Apparently they decided to make the design more streamlined. Its fundamental structure, and, consequently, its action has not changed.
torturesru
Well, this is often encountered. The same refrigerator (stove) in stainless steel is much more expensive.
Yes, but I mean that the changes in the model index were not described on the official websites. The same can be seen here. The coating, but the color is slightly different. But the base is the same - Teflon. It's hard to say where the carbon fiber is on. Do they think she will take impurities from the water like filmtra?
Sofim
It is still somehow not clear which valve is better. Hardly a new one could make it worse, although of course everything happens ...Maybe there is some expert on multicooker who actually compared two mozhels ??? urgently need to decide which one to buy
torturesru
Yes, only the upper part has changed, the very essence of the valve remained the same - in the cartoon there is a piece of iron with holes through which steam passes and in the plastic part there is a membrane, which opens at a certain pressure and releases this very steam. The steam left, the pressure dropped and the rubber band closed this valve. Nothing has changed there, just a design refinement.
Tat
My husband advises me to buy a second multicooker of the old model. Arguments that now often changes in models are aimed at reducing the cost of production. But I want variety.
torturesru
I didn't find any global changes there. Unless something has been changed with the electronics, but this is not so easy to consider. The plastic part of the valve, the color and color of the pan coating are really different. All! It doesn't seem like the cost reduction for this product. This usually happens when the buttons are replaced with software displayed on the display and a single button, etc. Nobody will put bad stuff on purpose.

My husband is advised to buy a second slow cooker of the old model. Arguments that now often changes in models are aimed at reducing the cost of production. But I want variety.
My husband would have advised the same and I would have listened to him. Valid o-there are already examples in my life when the next model after the already promoted one was worse than its predecessor. And then I regretted that I was chasing a novelty. I didn't know this until my husband explained it to me. He works for me a lot with various electronics. Sometimes people, knowing these pitfalls, deliberately look for a predecessor product, and a cunning manufacturer quickly removes it from production and pushes only an updated model, but with some kind of simplification. And precisely in order to make the product available at a price to a wider mass of buyers. And by the way, it was noticed even there by the link-type, pots of 3590 rubles appeared again. If everything is still great there, why is the price lower? Is the valve not clear from the photo - generally removable? In general, I would either buy the old model or wait for feedback on the new model.
Tat
I have already read reviews that people like the new valve less, because it fits worse, they wrote that it is inconvenient. And the new cover of the saucepan confuses me if it will be as durable as in the old model ... In general, I will most likely take the second cartoon of the old model. We now have them in Kiev at the same price (old and new models).
Celestine
Quote: Sofim

That's just the point - they write above that new is not always better.

There, of the changes, only Teflon of a different color-type is stronger, the valve and a couple of new recipes ... not such changes, and absolutely do not affect the work ... especially since this is Panasonic, they do not make it worse
In general, for me it would not be an obstacle not to buy the long-awaited device, all the more where is the guarantee that the old model will be produced?
Andreevna
Friends, as the owner of both multicooker and TMV and TMN, I want to say the following: take any, there is no fundamental difference in them. In TMN, the saucepan is darker inside, they write that this is a carbon filter and it has a different valve shape. In TMV, the valve looks like inside the saucepan, and in TMN - at the level of the lid, which seems to me more convenient, at least in the small 10th model, the saucepan is small there and the valve would interfere with the useful volume. One START button of a different color is yellow. Like the cartoon itself, there may be a different color not white, but blue metallic. That's all the difference. By the way, they wrote here that in the new valve it is badly unscrewed, and so, it is unscrewed normally, you just need to put it in the grooves correctly. The smaller, 10th model has less power. Hope doubters this helps.
Andrei
And another question to catch up with a newbie. And you can heat ready-made meals in it, like in a microwave oven, for example?
Antoine

In principle, you can warm up ... Only for a long time. It will be faster on the stove. And even faster in the microwave.
Cake
Iskra! Finally, you formulated exactly the thought that I wanted to express, but somehow I could not find words for my emotions! Just like that: "It seems that another worker has appeared in the kitchen"!
This afternoon I ran home from work for literally half an hour. I put the bread on the oven (simple white, I put it on the scales for a minute, spotted it) and decided to catch the pilaf. I threw a tray of frozen chicken drumsticks into the microwave. On the stove over high heat, I fried a large chopped onion. To her, on a grater, grated large carrots. Transferred to cartoon. In the same hot frying pan, I fried the drumsticks (for color), literally 5 minutes. Also put it in the cartoon. Then there are 2 cups of steamed rice and 4 cups of water. Salt, spices (I take a set for pilaf from the Uzbeks) and I checked the gingerbread man on the "PLOV" mode - excellent! She sipped her coffee. I looked at the clock, yeah. in half an hour. In the evening my husband and I came home from work, we open the door ... My husband looked at me in a frightened way, they say, "Who's home ?!" I smiled: ALL OWN! Pilaf turned out - Uzbeks nervously smoke on the sidelines !!!!! Bread, no comment at all! For half an hour! Yes, it's just some kind of miracle! Although no, it's a miracle that I washed my hands with everyone. changed and sat down to supper. And then she left the kitchen with everyone. This is a miracle! Indeed, Iskra, I now have a worker at home! And it takes an inexpensive half a kilowatt per hour

Quote: Alexandra

Cake, you can even faster: fry everything in a multitasking mode on the baking mode - and get dirty, and then you don't have to wash the pan
Alexandra, I didn't like frying on the "Baking" mode - for a long time! You won't fry anything in 5 minutes, I tried it. Maybe my tension is bad, maybe just subjective sensations, but I tried to fry the onion once, for about half an hour I fried it until golden. That's it, I don't fry anything else. The girls say that the chicken is fried very well ... Maybe everyone has different concepts ABOUT Fried chicken?
Okay, let my frying pan get some work too. otherwise he will become complex from his uselessness!

Was today in Eldorado, Panasonic cartoons big 5999, small 5399. Parody of cartoon Severin 2422 costs 1999 re. According to the instructions in Severin, milk burns at once, not even for puddings. I phoned a lot of stores - the presence of 5-15 pieces in each. Prices average 5500.
What the hell to all of you Eldorado, who gets buyers as he wants ?? IMHO of course, but with the same success in an Internet magician buy - the risk is the same. But what I like about the cartoon is that I have not seen a single message that it is out of order ... There are no complaints about it on the forums - it works like a clock ... It's nice to know that there is quality in this world ..

girls, let's not mislead people, let's call things by their proper names, don't parody or fake... Risovaraki are different and all sorts of from simple with one button to super-duper fancy. Any of them perfectly cooks rice, all the rest of the extras only improve the quality of the cooked rice and expand the possibilities of its use.
