Slow Cooking Sauerkraut

Ingredients

Sauerkraut 500 g
Onion 1 PC
Carrot 1 PC
Sour cream 15% 200 ml
Ground sweet red paprika 0.5 tsp

Cooking method

  • In a slow cooker bowl I laid out in layers:
  • Down a layer of slightly chopped sauerkraut mixed with 1/4 onion rings,
  • And on top is a layer of grated carrots, mixed with sour cream.
  • HIGH mode, time 2 hours,
  • Then sprinkle some red sweet paprika on top, stir, and turn off the slow cooker.
  • Without a drop of water and oil, I got a delicious side dish and aka cold salad.
  • The cabbage did not get tattered, as on the stove, it retained its shape, the taste is rich, because no water was added

Note

Choose the tastiest sauerkraut on the market.
I cook in the Kenwood 706 slow cooker, 4.5 liters, because I believe that the large amount of hot air on top cooks the carrots in the sour cream and adds an additional deliciousness to the finished dish.

brendabaker, OksanaWhat yummy it turned out! Thank you very much, though I added a couple of spoons of water, and finished it for a minute. Made in Kitforth. Probably all the same sour cream was not enough, well, I really liked it.
Today I ate delicious cold cabbage !!!

KiiFort will be hotter, I would just turn it off early and let it go up to standard in the bowl.
