Ingredients

Sugar 80 g
Vanilla sugar or almond extract 0.5 tsp
Baking powder 1 tsp without top
Salt pinch
Powdered sugar for dusting

Cooking method

  • - Melt the butter in a microwave oven at a power of 500-600 W for 3 minutes or in a saucepan on the stove. Do not boil. then cool the oil to room temperature. add honey and stir well.
  • - Beat eggs well with a pinch of salt and sugar. Some of the sugar in the recipe can be replaced with cane sugar. Then mix with butter.
  • - Sift flour and mix with baking powder and vanilla sugar.
  • - Combine the flour with the butter mixture and stir. Let stand in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. I started baking right away.
  • - Warm up the baking machine Pre-grease the cells with refined vegetable oil. Put the dough into the trays, filling them to the brim. Cover the appliance and bake until golden brown.

According to another legend, the French court got acquainted with this recipe in 1755, when Leszczynski was having a dinner party in Paris. But the pastry chef fell ill just before the celebration, and the quick-witted cooks instructed the maid Madeleine to bake cookies according to her grandmother's recipe, which she often treated them to. The dessert made a splash, so the cookies were named after the girl.
By order of Maria Leszczynski, the cookie recipe was handed over to the confectioners of Versailles, and soon it began to be served during the feasts hosted by King Louis. Thus, the legendary cookie is almost 260 years old.

There are many recipes for these cookies, but true madelens should have incredible softness, lightness, tenderness and delicate aroma.
