Langos Hungarian or delicious potato donuts

Ingredients

Potato 4
flour 1.5-1.75 st.
milk 0.5 st.
sugar 1h l.
fresh yeast 6 grams
salt 0.5 tsp
vegetable oil for frying ~ 70 ml

Cooking method

  • Fast Hungarian food, sold in street shops.
  • Boil potatoes in salted water. Drain the water.
  • Make mashed potatoes. Cool it down.
  • Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm milk. Let stand for 5-10 minutes.
  • Pour flour and salt into the potatoes. Add flour gradually until a smooth dough is obtained. Combine the potato mixture with the yeast mixture. Knead the dough. Cover it and let rise in a warm place for one hour.
  • Roll out the dough into a 1/2-inch layer and cut out circles. You can not roll out, but immediately form cakes from the dough with your hands. Heat vegetable oil. Fry the tortillas until golden brown on both sides. Rub the garlic on the tortillas. Sprinkle with salt.
  • Divide the dough into lumps, roll out each ~ 1.5 cm thick.
  • Fried in a cast-iron pan in vegetable oil until beautiful color on both sides.

Note

Ready to grate with garlic and sprinkle with salt. But I didn't rub.

I prepared 4 pieces for testing, put the rest of the dough in the refrigerator until tomorrow. Loved the Hungarian flat donuts. Cheap, tasty and fast.
P.S. During the night in the refrigerator, the dough inflated the package, but everything is fine,
in the morning I cooked up what I started in the evening.

Thank you for recalling the taste from childhood. Only I remember that they did not rub it with garlic, but diluted it with water and smeared the langyshes with a brush. Yummy !!! Must be done!

I got pancakes. Just like my grandma's. Probably the subconscious has played a cruel joke. I wanted the taste of childhood.
