Greek meat pie

Ingredients

puff pastry 2 sheets 700 gr.
cut meat (pork, veal, lamb to your taste) into very tiny pieces 800 gr.
whole onion 1
Bay leaf 2-3 pcs.
salt pepper
olive oil 3 tbsp. l.
leeks (white part only, cut into slices) 2 stems
green onions, finely chopped 50 gr.
feta cheese (knead)) 150 gr.
grated REGATO KERRYGOLD cheese (can be replaced with any spicy cheese like Swiss) 3-4 tbsp. l.
hard-boiled eggs (grate) 4-5
parsley 2 tbsp. l.
pine nuts 2 tbsp. l.
couscous 50 gr.
salt. pepper
cake tin 25x40 cm

Cooking method

  • Pour 2 liters into a saucepan. water and boil, add meat, whole onion, bay leaf, salt and pepper and cook over low heat for 30-35 minutes.
  • discard the meat on a plate, the broth can be saved for the first course.
  • heat the oil in a saucepan and simmer the leeks and greens for 2-3 minutes, add the meat and simmer for 2-3 minutes, add couscous, pour in 100 ml. broth and simmer for 5 minutes. remove from heat. cool.
  • add cheeses, lightly fried nuts, eggs, parsley, mix, taste, and only then, salt and pepper if necessary.
  • line the form with 1 part of the dough so that there are sides and evenly place the filling, cover with a second sheet of dough, cut off the hanging edges and blind the ends well, press the edges with a fork.
  • lightly cut the pie into portions, grease the top with butter and bake in heated to 190-200 "for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
  • P. S from the broth, adding a little water to it, cooked vegetable soup from cabbage, potatoes. tomato and pepper, it turned out to be a delicious and complete dinner.
