Onion loaf

Ingredients

Leaven 200 BC
Flour 560-580 g. (Depends on humidity)
Water 180 ml.
Dry cream 2 tsp
Sugar 2 tbsp. l.
Eggs 2 squirrels and 1 yolk
Lard (or other fat) 50 g
Onion flakes (dried onions) 2 tbsp. l.
Salt 1 tsp
Yolk for greasing 1 PC.

Cooking method

  • Knead the dough. Place in a warm place to ferment and double the volume.
  • Divide the gingerbread man into two parts. Form a loaf of each. Put in a warm place for proofing.
  • When the loaves increase in volume by 1.5-2 times, grease them with yolk (whipped with a fork). Cuts can be made if desired.
  • Preheat the oven to 180 * C. Bake with steam (first 10 minutes),
  • then the steam generator can be removed.
  • Total baking time 25-35 minutes (depending on the oven and the degree of desired color)
