Ingredients

plum 1 kg
sugar 800 grams
water 1/2 cup
lemon acid 1/3 teaspoon

Cooking method

  • Wash the plums, remove the seeds.
  • Put in a large bowl, pour in water.
  • Cook over low heat, stirring constantly for 2-3 hours.
  • Let it brew for 2 hours.
  • Cook again for 2 hours.
  • Leave it overnight.
  • Boil for another 1-2 hours the next day.
  • Then make mashed potatoes with an immersion blender, add sugar and citric acid.
  • Boil for 30-40 minutes.
  • Remove the foam, set it aside to freeze, we still need it for another recipe.
  • Pour the jam into the jars to the very neck.
  • Place on a baking sheet in the middle of the oven.
  • Heat the oven to 100-120 degrees.
  • Bake the jam as the crust appears on top.
  • Turn off the oven, leave to cool in it.
  • On the third (do not be alarmed) already a day, get the jars, on top of the neck, not jam !!!, put a circle of parchment. Close with any lid.

I made plums out of 3 kilograms.
It turned out 3 liter and one 0.5 liter jars.
