Ingredients

sweet bell pepper red large 10-12 pieces
large ripe tomatoes 5-6 pieces
turnip onion 1 piece
medium carrots 1 piece
sugar taste
salt taste

Cooking method

  • We take large thick-walled pepper.
  • The amount may vary depending on the size of the pepper and how much will fit on the baking sheet.

  • We salt it hard, because our pepper is not salty.
  • Add sugar for taste, hot pepper.
  • We tighten the fire and simmer until the carrots are cooked.
  • Add herbs, garlic, cut into small pieces. Let it boil.
  • Refrigerate.
  • Peel the peppers, free them from seeds. Cut into small pieces (to make it convenient to eat).
  • Pour the filling on the bottom of the dishes, put the pepper in one row.
  • We repeat the process.
  • Leave in the refrigerator for several hours to soak the pepper.
  • We use it as an independent dish, a side dish for meat or an addition to any side dish.

The recipe was shared a long time ago by my mother's godfather, who lives in Odessa. She says that this is the favorite dish of Odessa citizens. Maybe exaggerating? But the pepper is really delicious, tender. Of course, not crusts, not seeds. Recommend!
