Classic Pesto sauce adapted to Russian products in a blender

Ingredients

Green basil, standard bunch 1 PC. ~ 40 gr.
Parmesan cheese 40 gr.
Garlic 2 cloves
Pine nuts 2 tbsp. spoons
Olive oil ~ 70 ml.

Cooking method

  • Separate the basil leaves from very large branches, rinse and dry well.
  • Put the basil in a blender (if desired, you can pre-cut into smaller pieces) and chop for 10-20 seconds.
  • Cut the parmesan and garlic into strips or cubes, put in a blender and stir for about a minute, but in large pieces, if the blender knife scatters the mass, then stop and collect with a spoon in a heap.
  • Add pine nuts to the resulting mass and grind to a fine homogeneous consistency.
  • Lastly, fill in the oil in 3-4 doses to the desired density.
  • And you're done!

Time for preparing:

15 minutes.

You are welcome! I also forgot to add, the parmesan is salty, but it may not be enough for someone, you can salt it to taste in a blender when mixing, there are also options with the addition of vinegar for taste and as a preservative. But I don't use it =)
Albina
Our family doesn't like basil. I bought it once, but alas ... Valentinewhat can be replaced? Parsley?

It's very tasty ... sometimes I make 50/50 with parsley, it still turns out delicious ..
Albina, it will be tasty and parsley, but with basil it will be divine ... maybe add little by little so that the taste is barely noticeable ?. I cooked in different ways, but with basil it turns out amazingly ... and I always use only green basil for pesto ... purple pesto spoils

They replace almost any greens; in the cafe they make pesto from arugula. And so any greens: dill, parsley, coriander, lettuce. It even happens from wild garlic, nettle and broccoli =) Even if you add sun-dried tomatoes, then there will be red pesto =)
