Ingredients

Milk (I have a rustic, rather fatty) 1L
Matsoni sourdough 1 sachet = 3g

Cooking method

  • I bought a village fat milk, sooo tasty, boiled and fermented Matsoni and sour cream with my own sour cream.
  • I boiled the milk (it is not necessary to boil it in the store), cooled it to room temperature, to be precise, 22-24 degrees.
  • I added sourdough, mixed everything and placed the jar in the fermenter for 7 hours.
  • I have never made yogurt in my life, I just read that matsun (an Armenian fermented milk drink) is fermented for 3-4 hours, but it didn't ferment in 3-4 hours ... I checked, so I left it until 7 hours, but took out the can after 6 hours.
  • As a result, Matsoni cooked for 6 hours, but you can try less, you get whey.
  • But the product turned out to be sooooo tasty, not like yogurt or sour cream, very peculiar. The same does not look like a store yogurt, homemade, of course, tastes better.
