Cooking method

  • The Finns call this dish soup. And how right it is, now I understand this - in terms of calorie content, it can serve as a light lunch dish. For breakfast you can't - with alcohol, after all.
  • I fell in love with this soup from the first moment, even in the process of preparation. What a unique aroma spreads throughout the house, and you already immediately anticipate moments of pleasure!
  • Just to enjoy it properly, you need to cook it a couple of hours before meals and serve it a little chilled.

  • Bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes until soft. We take out the cinnamon and berries, puree them with a blender. In addition to strawberries, I had frozen red currants and had to be cooked separately, chopped, and then filtered - the bones would not come in handy here. Finnish berry soup
  • Next, we dilute the starch in a small amount of water and, stirring constantly, pour it into the puree in a thin stream. Bring the soup to thicken.
  • Now we need to cool our soup and put it in the refrigerator.

I had to add a little because of the red currant. If you cook from one strawberry or other sweet berries - fruits, you don't need to add it.
