Onion Bread (Caramelized Onion + Ciabatta Mix)

Ingredients

Vegetable oil (for sautéing) 30-40 ml.
Bulb onions 1-2 pcs.
Sugar 1 tsp
Water 140 ml.
Milk 170 ml.
Salt 1 tsp
Ciabatta mix 100 g
Wheat flour 450 ml.
Dry yeast 2 tsp

Cooking method

  • We take 2 medium or 1 large onion, sauté in oil (preferably olive oil - 2 tablespoons, maybe a little more, depending on the size of the onions) until golden brown, add 1 tsp. sugar - caramelize (about 1 min.)
  • We fill in the products (sequence, according to the instructions for the bread maker). I have - first, liquid components, i.e. water, milk, put onions in a frying pan along with oil, salt, mixture, flour, yeast.
  • Mode "basic", crust "medium", weight - 1 kg.
  • Thanks to the Ciabatta Mix (or Baguette), the bread is crispy, soft, light with a porous texture.
  • The main composition of the mixture is flour, dried wheat sourdough, wheat gluten, ascorbic acid.

  • It is possible, of course, without a mixture, however, store-bought flour does not always meet the quality in terms of acidity and gluten.
  • This is the first experiment (very tasty), before that I used TV. cheese instead of onions, although a slightly different recipe (water leaves, the ratios of components change).
