Ingredients

chicken hearts 500 g
carrots 500 g
onion 150 g
vegetable oil for frying
salt, black pepper

Cooking method

  • An original and tasty salad with a minimum of ingredients.
  • In the recipe, we will dress with mayonnaise, but I do not eat mayonnaise, if anyone tries it is interesting to know how the taste changes.
  • I cook from turkey hearts, I like them better.
  • Chicken hearts and carrots salad
  • So:
  • For the marinade:
  • 0.5 cups of water;
  • 0.5 cups vinegar 5%;
  • 0.5 cups of sugar;
  • 1 tbsp. l. salt.
  • Mix all the ingredients that make up the marinade. Cut the onion into half rings and pour over the marinade, leave for 1 hour.
  • I cooked with both sweet salad onions and red ones. Without pickling. Delicious anyway.
  • Boil chicken hearts and cut them into strips for salad.
  • Grate the carrots for the Korean carrots. Saute in a pan with the addition of vegetable oil.
  • Remove the onion from the marinade and squeeze well, mix the onions with carrots and chicken hearts, season the salad with mayonnaise, add salt and pepper if desired.

For the sake of experiment, I did it with and without mayonnaise. With mayonnaise, the salad is denser, "winter" and "warm". Without it, it's easier. I liked this option: do not fill with mayonnaise, mix everything, sprinkle with onion marinade and let stand overnight in the refrigerator. It turns out very juicy.
