Semolina with banana and caramel Platter of happiness at Jamie Oliver HomeCooker - Philips

Ingredients

Milk 0,5 l
Semolina 2 tbsp. l. with a small slide
Sugar 0.5-1 tbsp. l
Salt (optional) 1 pinch
Sugar (for caramel) 3 tbsp. l
Water 2-3 tsp
Butter 1 tbsp. l
Milk 50-60 ml.
Banana 2 pcs
Chocolate shavings 1 tsp

Cooking method

  • 1. Set the time on the mode panel in HomeCooker to 15 minutes, the temperature to 250 degrees (we will change it in the process) and the constant stirring mode.
    2. Pour a small amount of water into a saucepan so that it covers the bottom.
    3. When the water boils, and this is very fast, in less than a minute, pour milk. (There is a measuring scale on the inner wall of the pan and this is very convenient!) Add sugar and salt. Cover the pot with a lid.
    4. After about 3-4 minutes the milk will begin to boil. Bubbles will appear on the surface. Reduce temperature to 130 degrees and turn off the stirrer.
    5. Sift semolina into milk through a sieve and only at this stage manually mix porridge with milk with a spoon or spatula.
    6. Switch on - stirring and cover the pan with a lid.
    7. At the end of the program, let the porridge brew and swell completely. We set the mode - stirring without heating - 5 minutes. The porridge is of medium consistency. Uniform, no lumps.

Along with the porridge, we will prepare a caramel sauce. The porridge will mix on its own and so we have enough time to make caramel.
    8. Put sugar in a thick-bottomed bowl. Moisten sugar with water. We put on medium heat.
    9. While stirring occasionally, bring to a boil. Cook until the sugar dissolves and the mass turns amber.
    10. Add butter, milk (you can use cream) And stir until the mass is homogeneous and smooth.
    11. Cut the bananas sideways into three parts. Place in a saucepan with caramel sauce and simmer for about a minute.

Note

To be honest, I don't eat semolina at all. I cook it exclusively for my husband. He was the main and only taster. He said that a very tasty combination of products and porridge looks festive and unusual.
I named this recipe "Happy Plate" because the products used for this porridge contain serotonin. Serotonin is called the "hormone of happiness" for a reason, it is really responsible for our good mood. Thanks to the adequate production of serotonin in the body, we feel in a good mood, feel a surge of strength and mood, life feels brighter and more interesting, and resistance to stress increases. So it turns out that the feeling of happiness is associated with the production of serotonin.

Svetochka, what a delicious and beautiful porridge! I will definitely cook tomorrow
True, I am not the owner of such a beautiful car as yours,
but, I think everything is fixable, the CUCKOO can handle it or a blender soup cooker,
and once again I bought some bananas for Banoffee pie.
Thanks for the great idea.

Lyudochka! It's so nice to get good reviews! Thank you ! I suggest you drink kefir and go to YOU. I will wait for impressions. Having so many assistants making semolina - how can you manage it!
The husband said that the banana tasted like a melon and the porridge was with a chocolate flavor. Although that chocolate 1/2 tsp. I can tell you one thing - it smelled delicious

I'll cook a couple of "Happiness" plates for breakfast this weekend. The husband, of course, will be stunned to see me in the kitchen on Saturday or Sunday, which, in principle, cannot be! And then twice more stunned by "Happiness".
Oh, I'm looking forward to it!

Wait a minute ... and this, in an hour, will not be the eighth ...? So it is, the eighth - Saturday!
Nooo, I refuse to give him happiness on the eighth, let me be served!
But I'll cook on Sunday! You still have to work off ... for Saturday's happiness.

Linen! I read yours Elena Tim on the contrary. So beautiful ! On March 8, your husband wakes you up - About my Mitanele! And a bowl of happiness with coffee in bed! Great idea !?

I'll copy your post and show him tomorrow. Then let him get out as he wants! Pleasing the explicit Mitanela!

Cool aggregate! And the porridge is cool !!!
Svetlana, I envy in silence Manka, of course I love without additives, I just love it.

TanyulyaThank you! I got more happy hormones from compliments!
Oliver's saucepan is an interesting device. I was already in it and made a sous-vid. True, you can't put my ham in the ceiling, but portioned steaks or flexible sausage - no problem. Keeps a constant temperature well.
I tried baking in a saucepan and steamed. For a couple - I really liked it!
There are inconveniences due to the pin in the middle. But you can adapt.

Of course, I love semolina without additives, just maanka.
Tanya! And I'm trying to make friends with this porridge. We have had a dislike for her since childhood. So I change her taste as much as I can. The husband asked to do this porridge more often. Means delicious!
