Pogremushka
I have a grater for a month. Very happy. The leftovers so as not to remain I train like this: when the vegetable has reached the edge of the holder, I put the holder in its original position (in the upper part of the grater), I lightly press the pusher, as soon as the vegetable rests on the grater, I release the pusher, and only after that I pass it over the knives. And so on. There are almost no remains. It’s not going too fast yet, but I’ll practice and learn. But cubes are not given to me. Rather, I do not have enough patience for them.
Romashka.123
Girls, tell me on which nozzle you can grate a carrot for a salad of carrots with garlic? I used to rub it on the Soviet shallow one, but the procedure is not pleasant on the standard one, it doesn’t quite work out, I understand so you need to buy more, now I’m thinking which one?
Pogremushka
Chamomile, see the 1st page of the topic. There the girls described how the grater cuts. Maybe you can pick it up.
mish
And I cut the leftover pieces and into the dryer (I have a Dachnik-4 dryer) or into the freezer in a bag. And then I use it for its intended purpose, that is, in soups or stewing.

It is called that - for Korean carrots. Go to their website.

Or on the large side of a double-sided plastic (baby grater?). I like that even more than Korean.

For Korean carrots, this is for Korean carrots, Berner really has such a grater. But for the carrots with garlic, which I asked about Romashka, you need a valid grater, about which it writes lina ... On a grater for Korean, narrow long stripes are obtained, but it should be fine for carrots with garlic.
MariV
Your truth! Then it is possible on plastic, for baby and diet food.
Eternal child
Tell me what is really needed and works in your kitchen, and what attachments can you do without? I want to buy, and I'm waiting for your advice ... for the loin I already have ... thank you all in advance ...
Freken Bock
Eternal child , and you buy a basic set, and along the way you will find out what you personally need. I just had to buy a nozzle for 10 mm blocks (in a set of 3.5 and 7 mm). This is enough for me.

There is simply a possibility for wholesale. I want to take it to the price, so I want it to the maximum ... I read Elena Bo's message ... and everyone can see his own ... but I have a curly example very much ... and what is in the basic set?
mish
The tray is very convenient - take it and do not hesitate! I appreciated.
Mueslik
Eternal child, it seems to me, too, you don’t want to take the tray in vain, I searched for it for so long, then I bought it all the same, it’s so convenient with it
You go to the manufacturer's website and there you decide what you need and what you don't ...
Everyone has different requests and therefore only you decide what you personally need
mish
It seems to me that it is useless to convince here - everyone has their own experience. On my own I can add - I can't describe the delight of the peeler - before that I used a fake, now I understand why the original is better and more expensive. The "Roko" grater for Korean carrots is also irreplaceable - I tried to tune the 3.5mm nozzle, but this is not the case anyway. Well, the tray - yes, yes, and again YES !!! Don't give up on convenience that you don't already know. I myself thought whether to buy it, but decided after reading this Temka, and never regretted the money spent on it.
Pogremushka
For example, I would buy a tray. Only it seems to me painfully bulky. Maybe in it you can somehow store the grater itself, or nozzles? Share your experience. I have a VIP-4.

So in VIP4, and so the nozzles are stored in it, it is very convenient if, of course, there are no those that are not included in the kit

And I have a VIP-4, only I store the attachments not in a tray, but in a multibox, bought separately for these purposes. It justified itself, the girls here on the forum wrote correctly - the multibox is very convenient, although you can put only the basic kit into it. But you won't cut yourself with the attachments - even my husband appreciated it, he says that this is "a technique for people", cannot be compared with numerous fakes. In the tray you can probably store attachments that are not included in the base, but for the rest, do not spare money on a multibox. Believe me, this is not just a bunch of plastic, and cannot be compared with a box. It securely fixes the main grater and you can carry the whole set (including attachments and a vegetable holder - it is inserted in front of the main frame) wherever you go.
Sorry for the confusion, I read my message and it seems that I did not explain it well. Just take my word for it - there is no superfluous in Berner. This is my established opinion.
Qween
mish , I agree with you - there is no superfluous in Berner.

Pogremushka , be sure to take a basin, then remember us with a kind word more than once. I don't store anything in a basin, but I often use it without a grater.

lina
There used to be a trend, now VIP-4 (to be honest, I bought into three thicknesses of slices and the "plug" position. On a trend I have always missed this average thickness). The trend is already 14 years old - alive and well, only the holder was changed. A basin - I have two, a small one (from a classic or from a trend) - for small graters and a large one - for a VIP. Both are in use, I feel uncomfortable without them. Peeler. Waffles - for a great mood or on holidays. Korean is rare. Double-sided grater - the small side is indispensable for potato pancakes, the large side is a lot for what. Plastic pizza grater is a favorite grater))). I use the holder only for a large grater (required !!!). Small basin and small graters live in crates. But I put the VIP (the nozzle in the "plug" position) on the basin, and in the basin I put the attachments with knives (blades down) and the holder, and the entire structure - in the cabinet. It is inconvenient for me to attach nozzles to a grater. A 10 mm nozzle is not particularly necessary for me personally, but unfortunately there is no 1.7 mm for VIP. I hope they will)))
Pogremushka
Celestine, I have only the basic set so far. Until ... The baits are really stored in the grater itself. The question is different. Where do you put this tray, adapt it for the time you do not use it? He's so big and awkward.
mish, I think about boxing. Thank you. Can you hang it on a hook? Or just store it on the table?
Z. Y. I have my first battle wound today. Didn't follow the length of the remainder in my hand. Serves me right. There is no point in having "intimate" conversations with your husband while talking to Berner.
Qween
Pogremushka The multibox is VERY handy. I, hang a grater with a box on a hook on the wall.
mish
I was bribed in the multibox by the fact that you can put it on (it looks decent - not ugly) and hang it up.
Romashka.123
girls thank you very much in Korean it really doesn't work out quite right, I'll try now on this plastic one, I think it should work
mish
How will you test your strength - tell me, plizz, about the tests ..., otherwise they seemed to me decrepit and that the dough would not stick well. But I'm still thinking about buying.
Anastasia
To be honest, I bought such molds for dumplings and pasties. Alas, I didn’t succeed in sculpting them, and the products didn’t stick together, and somehow they turned out clumsily, although I did everything according to the instructions. But maybe you will succeed - maybe I did the dough of the wrong consistency or something else was wrong. I will wait for your results!
Freken Bock
And my form is generally "left", not Berner, and not Tescoma, but everything worked out. Very quickly I stopped using it, however, and it is lying around somewhere ... Offtopic, sorry.

As I promised, I'm telling you about the trials:
in appearance, the forms are really some kind of flimsy and made not in Germany, but in reality everything turned out to be fine.
On the one hand, a circle for cutting out a mug for a pie from the dough, which is then placed on the other side and the filling is added there, and you cannot put more than necessary filling. The edges are held together well, a beautiful seam is obtained.
In general, I'm happy so far. We can only hope that the molds will last a long time.

Finally I have it !!!
Before that I used a fake, as it turned out.
I bought a Trend with tray and multibox, Waffle and 10mm insert. I already had Roko. The tray is of course very handy. Only for tonight I cut a baking sheet of potatoes with carrots on a waffle, beautifully so ... I made a salad on Roco ... the family is happy, and I’m even more so ...
She shaves super, of course, sharp knives ... speed and quality at the highest level, I have no words ..
And my whole set cost 1612 rubles. by wholesale: !!!!

Could you show what kind of zest chips are obtained on the Baby insert? and it is possible to erase onions and raw potatoes in mashed potatoes?

Eternal child, welcome!
Natty, I haven't tried onions, and I often rub raw potatoes for potato pancakes.

It's hard for a newbie on Berner ...
Dear members of the forum, I bought myself a VIP4, an oval vessel for it, a baby grater and a vegetable peeler decorator. So far, I'm only satisfied with the peeler and the grater, alas .. It's hard to get used to the Berner. Potatoes, for example, get stuck in the main knives - what am I doing wrong ??? Celery is also a bit heavy. Too large pieces remain from carrots - the whole topic where the forum people discussed it, read it - I continue to train. Cabbage for pickling - on a knifeless one - how to cut the cabbage correctly, how to insert it into this holder (inconvenient for me). Without a holder - I already got a slight injury, just on the cabbage. There are no clear instructions on their website either. In general, you all praise the grater - so help the newbie out - who can do anything :-))) By the way, one more question, and tear off the holder at the end and transfer it outside the grater to its, so to speak, the beginning, that is, top, or drive on a grater without tearing up and down? I don't know how correctly I put it ...
mish
I "tear off and carry" - it’s faster for me, but otherwise, it seems, it will not work. The leftovers do not bother me very much - their children will gobble up or I will finish cutting, and in a soup or stew, does it matter how thick they are - if only they are about the same. I cut cabbage in general on a slicer, but I don't use Berner for it - it didn't seem convenient. And as for potatoes, etc. vegetables, try not to press, but drive the holder quite sharply. Of course, but any device needs to get used to.
Mueslik
Fotini, you do not press on the holder, but lead it casually, as if sliding it along the plane of the grater - keep it parallel to the working surface, everything will definitely work out, now I just feel the thrill working on the Berner. I rub cabbage on the main set more often than on a slicer (And now very often without a holder, I have adapted myself - without injuries) I cut the forks into four parts together with the stump and forward-hold by the stump, or in its holder
Just make it a rule not to cut by hand, then you will learn quickly enough
Yes, the holder on the main set is to be torn off and carried forward again ...
MariV
Fotini, get used to it and get used to it - I also had problems at the beginning. And now I bought almost all possible graters, I can't imagine how I used to do it.
mish
The main thing is not to allow yourself to cut with a knife in the process of getting used to it - this is rightly said. This is where Berner's main plus comes up, which is imperceptible at once - the graters are washed only with a stream of water - easily and naturally. So this greatly facilitates the process of getting used to it, because it does not allow the thought "better with a knife, so that you do not wash it later because of the small amount".
kler
Thanks for your support and advice !!! I have been preparing vegetable soups for three days only with a berner, now, I hope, I will also start getting pleasure from this process :-))) Special thanks for the detailed description of cabbage slicing - the whole family really wants sauerkraut ... power supply - baby grater - what you need - I even stopped using the chopper, as it turns out less consumption of apples - and even faster, oddly enough. By the way, apples can be rubbed well with a holder - a thin stub remains. So far, the hardest thing is given potatoes ...
Mueslik
Fotini, yes in Berner all the graters are excellent. I like MariV , bought everything that could be ... Used all-something more often, something less; but the toad does not choke
kler
Mueslik, but the grater that for Korean carrots (it seems, ROKO) here on the forum is more scolded than praised ... I have not decided yet whether to buy it or not. I have no other grater for Korean carrots, but I want homemade salad, as always.
mish
The question, of course, was for Mueslik, but I dare to insert my own opinion - buy Roko. I tried to replace it and grate the carrots on the 3.5mm nozzle, but I got the wrong thing, and the texture of the carrots is harder than it should be Korean, and on Roko just right. Berner does not do stupid things, everything is meant for something.
Mueslik
I have ROCO, I also need to get used to it, the slicing turns out to be smaller than on a real Korean grater. My Korean carrots like more on ROKO, it turns out softer. And I rubbed the beets in true Korean, I bought them in a Korean stall. I also rub radish for salads on ROCO, it turns out very nice

I had it even before buying the main grater. Cuts okayno. But I made 3.5 carrots here and I really liked their shape, I like bigger ones ...
Oh, I see a completely opposite answer from mish about 3.5 ... everyone can see his own ...
lina
Fotini, you will soon get used to it
I recently decided to get stuck with potatoes too. Here, I think, I survived - I forgot how to rub potatoes! It turned out that the variety was particularly dense, and it was hard to cut with a knife ... I calmly cut the remains with a knife. Cabbage - into quarters, as mentioned above. Or for eighths, if the head of cabbage is really huge. however, there are more leftovers from cabbage. And so - very quickly, very evenly, wash - no longer than a knife and a board ... the salad can be mixed and refueled in a basin, it is convenient - do not shift anything anywhere ...
Korean grater - I use it relatively rarely, but I need it! You see, carrots shabby on it seem to me tasteless, but if, for example, green radish in a salad, then only on this grater!
kler
Oh, there are just such different opinions that I immediately wanted to try ROKO in order to make up my own opinion :-))) but that grater, which is 10mm, is needed only for potatoes and larger cubes? what else are you making delicious on it? This is also a question for everyone - I just thought it was more polite to write the name of the person to whom you are answering. Thanks to everyone who took the initiative and answered my question.
mish
Girls, but I’m probably completely stupid - I don’t understand how to cut cubes (I have a VIP-4). I guess that this is in a certain position of the nozzles, but how ...? When buying, there was no demonstration, and the aunt-seller came across a nasty one - grumpy and not talkative, and there was no one to ask. So I live as an ignoramus, and the function of the cubes remains unused. Teach me...

Teach me...

The holder should not be located with arrows along the grater, but so that they would look 45 degrees to the left (right) side, the next movement is the same, but to the right (left) and only at 1 position.
I don't know if it's clear or not, but it should be drawn on a piece of paper.
Mueslik
Fotini , do you mean combichips? I have one, it is very convenient to cut potatoes 10mm, where it is necessary to be larger, there is also an insert for cutting by 5mm, this is already fries. It cuts easily, in my opinion it is easier than on the main one - the device of knives is different there. It is used quite often, especially children like it - they are more comfortable on it

That is, rhombuses? By the way, I understood even less from the piece of paper. they said that we should not get cubes, but rectangles, but rectangles and rhombuses are different things. In the soup, of course, it's all the same, I wrote about the expected result ... Why, I wonder, then advertise that "cubes" cannot be cut on the "classic" grater? so it is possible on any grater Berner ... something I misunderstood in their advertising ...

Bread-making
I bought it on your tip.

V-10 set
Tray
Multi-box
Grater "Baby Grater"

I cut about 2-3 kg of vegetables today. So far there has been no meat, thank God!
Cuts well, but tricky with cabbage. Half a cabbage is not the right size for Berner, and if you cut it smaller, the cabbage begins to crumble.

There were 4 inserts with a vegetable cutter. 3.5 mm knives, 7 mm knives, double-sided knifeless insert for high and low cutting thicknesses, double-sided knifeless insert for medium cutting thicknesses and for closing the V-knife during storage.

No matter how I combine, but all the parts do not fit into the multi-box: now the holder, now one of the inserts, then the vegetable cutter itself does not fit
