Boiled condensed milk

Boiled condensed milk

Ingredients

Condensed milk (Rogachev) 1 can

Cooking method

  • Open a can of condensed milk (preferably good, I took Rogachevskaya) and pour into a glass jar. Just cover (do not screw up). Put something on the bottom in the bowl so as not to scratch it (the simplest is the included steamer turned upside down). Put a jar and pour cold water just above the condensed milk level. Lock the lid. Turn pressure regulator to high. Soup mode (default pressure 40, time 20 min.). After the end of the mode, leave in the pressure cooker for an hour or increase the cooking time by 5-10 minutes. and open immediately after automatic pressure release.
  • Boiled condensed milk
  • Boiled condensed milk

Note

The safest way, because many are afraid to cook condensed milk in iron cans.

Thank you for this method of cooking condensed milk. For me personally, this is very important.

Oh, I just put a closed can of condensed milk in a pot of water. I boil for 1.5-2 hours on a low heat, let it cool, and everything is ready.

Thanks for the recipe. It's still scary to cook in a tin can. And here it is safe and fast.

And did not try to cook in a slow cooker or a saucepan, maybe there is experience. And then I'm terribly afraid to cook in an iron can, and here is such a recipe, only I don't have a pressure cooker

Irina, why be afraid to cook in a jar? I cooked it many times, and the water boiled away completely, and nothing, everyone is safe and sound. And in the cartoon, you can probably cook on stewing, for example, if everything is prepared and done as in this recipe it says.

Summer, confuse the numerous stories about the explosion of cans, even without the complete boiling off of water, probably this is some kind of defect, I cook it and every time I hope that I don’t have to scrape it off the ceiling, I’m thinking, but it just doesn’t turn into caramel when stewing

Well, if we cook on the stove for 1.5-2 hours, then on low heat, it means like stewing, right? Again, what's stopping you from opening the multicooker and seeing if, as the recipe says here, pour it into a glass jar? I think it should work out

Why should she turn? If you pour water into a container, and make sure that it does not boil away.
Summer
Well, yes, with water in the bowl of course
