owners of Panasonic, tell me is it convenient for you that the lid opens to the right side? Now I have already made a choice in favor of a new model of Panasonic, we only appeared in Eldorado, went in to examine, feel, and found such a strange opening of the lid to the side! But how can I interfere, and it's not convenient to make a bookmark, I'm not left-handed. I was very upset, I wanted a girlfriend to buy a Panasonic 2502 for my bread maker.

I am the owner of the Panasonic SR-TMH10ATW multicooker ...
In my opinion, it opens like this for all round multicooker, not only for Panasonic, which is really not very convenient, but not critical ... If you follow the instructions, the direction of opening the lid does not affect the convenience of the bookmark, because according to the instructions for the appliance, first the food must be placed in the bowl, and only then the bowl is placed in the multicooker.
And the lid does not bother me much to mix it, because after turning on the multicooker I move the multicooker away from the wall and turn it sideways so that the steam does not get on the wall and furniture.
In addition, I try to follow the instructions and once again do not open the multicooker until the end of work on any program.
And I don't use it for frying, the bowl is on the shore. Therefore, there is nothing special to interfere or turn over to me after installing the bowl and until the end of the program.

renard, thanks for the answer! So my husband proposes to turn. I will suffer now

Yes, you will not suffer with her, you have chosen a normal thing.
Panasonic is very adapted to our Russian menu and very easy-to-use multicooker, and recipes for them in bulk.

Well, we found a problem from scratch!

And I put the Panasonic sideways so that the steam did not go out under the shelves, and the lid opened to the right side. And believe me, it was not difficult at all, and did not interfere at all!
And the multicooker is decent, hardy, easy to operate - and the valve is normal, it washes at once.

Such a disadvantage as a lid that opens to the right is compensated by a plus - the presence of a drip tray, into which condensate flows down when the lid is opened. I did not notice the drip tray in the multicooker, in which the lid opens back, which of course is more convenient (perhaps I looked inattentively, categorically assert that it does not exist in such multicooker at all, I don’t undertake). And without a drip tray, all condensate will collect in the side of the multicooker and you will have to soak it with something.

Such a drawback as a lid that opens to the right ....
I can't resist ...
Opening the lid to the side is a HUGE PLUS from Panasonic of this model.
I will explain. Getting used to opening the lid without looking, once I opened it on another multicooker, with a front opening, while cooking porridge. What do you think - how did it end? That's right - it almost ended in a severe burn of steam. Well - there was where to throw my hand ... I got off with a slight reddening. Steam is just in the direction of opening.

Well, what to the right - well, they could have gone to the left, in general - the difference is small, stirring with your left hand is the same, you didn't have to retrain additionally ...

Second - you open the lid, which is forward ... And at the same time, what? That's right, stand in front too, blocking the light.... And inside - you can't see anything, even if you put a flashlight in the lid ... And when you open it from the side - the light goes on ...

What else ... Having tried Cockoo, my wife demanded Panasonic back almost immediately ...
Cockoo controls ... well, in general - you have to be Korean ... 22 options that can be typed in 10 combinations ...
And Panasonic - 5 buttons, remembered 2 times. And in fact - it does the SAME thing - it cooks and stews. And - he adjusts everything as it should.
Total - round Panasonic with side opening is considered a cult multicooker. On which "stars converged".
And in terms of the full range of properties - simplicity, reliability, the availability of everything really necessary - it has not yet been surpassed.
Raspberries
but I thought that this was just the most convenient opening, at Panasonic, I still can't get used to the new Redmond, it just opens by flipping the lid back, it annoys terribly and the steam initially immediately "in the face" comes out
Lily
Now I looked at my multi (Panasonic and Redmond), they both open the same way, if it's inconvenient to the right, I turned it a little and put it back in place .... And the whole problem.

More about the "cult" Panasonic.
The top handle is definitely a plus.
- I took it for it - opened it as needed ... Springs - no, everything is reliable ...
And the front opening - pressed - the spring begins to push the cover into the hand. And you start to catch. Or throws it away. Inconvenient ..
- I took it with ONE HAND and transferred\ moved \ turned where necessary. Or one finger.
And without her - with TWO hands for smooth sides. Slides. Or lift it to the bottom. Inconvenient.

Bowl.
It was unexpected for the most, but the Chinese multicooker had a rather thick bowl with a "ceramic" coating in the form of honeycombs. From the inside - everything became rough like a brick, and from the outside - it just peeled off with flakes.
And thin aluminum with even thinner Teflon from Panasonic is amazing, it has been unchanged for 3 years now. Apparently - high quality. If you do not stir anything like this and forever worth

PS. More about other manufacturers of round, side opening. There are different analogues of Redmond, Martha, I think, etc.
I looked at everything that came across. For the price is much less. But - everywhere there was something that was absent from regularly used in Panasonic.
One example (it seems this was just Raymond, who was mentioned here) - extinguishing for a maximum of 3 hours (from memory, maybe less). And barley barley "according to Pokhlebkin" has a minimum time for flooding milk - 4.5, and in total according to the original - 6. Not enough, however ... The rest of the functions are more or less the same.
And so - every little thing is missing. And in Panasonic - for some reason they are all there. Riddle

How interesting ... Which Panas model has a sideways lid? I had several Panas, now I also bought the 550th, but for all the lid opened back relative to the display. I don’t understand something ... in Panas?

Everything with the front opening is more beautiful: chrome on the facade, light bulbs, different styles of buttons, etc. Therefore, they are visible on the shelf and are bought ...
And on the side - a pan of a pan .. One color ..
But - it takes up much less space (since it is purely round) and the advantages of operation are described above.
