Cod cutlets with cottage cheese

Ingredients

Fillet of cod or pollock or haddock 500 g
Cottage cheese 200 g
Egg 1 PC.
Bulb onions 1 PC
Salt, spices taste

Cooking method

  • We pass the fillet of cod or pollock together with the onion through a meat grinder once.
  • The second time we pass it through a meat grinder, but this time with cottage cheese.
  • Add the egg, salt and spices.
  • Form the cutlets, breaded in flour and fry over low heat.
  • Important: the quality of the curd. If there are vegetable additives in it, then the cutlets may not work - the vegetable raw materials will simply leak out.

Olga, thank you very much for the recipe! I have never heard cottage cheese added to cutlets. I think it's very tasty, I will definitely try it, I love fish cakes!

Olga, please, explain what is "herbal supplements in cottage cheese"?
How to find them and where to look? Frankly, except for the% fat content, I do not see anything in it.
Or do I still not know everything about cottage cheese?

.... "" Public Control "conducted an examination of the quality of cottage cheese, and the results were simply stunning. Experts purchased ten samples of fermented milk products and examined them in the food laboratory. Practically none of the samples corresponded to GOST, instead of cottage cheese, buyers were offered a dubious consistency of palm and coconut oils. These oils are whipped into a thick white foam, thickeners, flavors, flavorings are added, and here you are, the "curd" is ready. "
If you fry cheesecakes on such cottage cheese, or add to cutlets, or make melted cheese - the result will be disappointing!
Now I have the opportunity to buy Belarusian cottage cheese - I just take it.

My mom's cod cutlets are branded. Everyone was going to lay out the recipe but they beat me to it.
Cottage cheese is almost always present in them (unless suddenly it was not in the refrigerator). I put cottage cheese in meatballs. So try without a twinge of conscience. The quality is guaranteed.

MariV, Olga! Thank you very much for the recipe - so delicious !!!
Made from haddock fillets with parsley and wheat bread. So tender, juicy - I would call it a fish soufflé.
Mine haven’t tasted yet, but I’m sure we will often have fish cakes now.

Yes, it is really delicious! I think yours will like it!
