Meatballs in creamy sauce

Ingredients

minced meat (70% pork, 30% beef) 500 g
rice "Basmati" 80 g
onion (large) 1 PC
carrot 2 pcs
garlic 2-3 cloves
saffron 0.5 h l
curry 0.5 box l
salt pepper taste
Slovenian 20% fat 300-350 ml
olive oil and butter for frying
wholemeal corn meal 2-3 tbsp

Cooking method

  • 1. Pour saffron with 50 ml of boiling water, let it brew, strain. Put the rice to boil and after boiling, pour in the saffron infusion.
  • 2. Cut the onion into small cubes. Put garlic in a pan with a mixture of oils, fry until golden brown and remove. Put onion and fry until transparent.
  • 3. Grate the carrots, heat in a mixture of oils until the color changes and put on the bottom of the dish in which the meatballs will be baked.
  • 4. Combine minced meat with boiled rice, fried onions, mix well. Season with salt, pepper and shape meatballs. Breaded in corn flour, fry until golden brown. Place in a mold on top of a layer of carrots, pour over the cream mixed with curry and bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes.

Note

Very tender, juicy and aromatic meatballs. Prepare quickly and not difficult. It goes well with any fresh vegetable salad.
