Ingredients

For the test:
Wheat flour 500 g
Milk 1 tbsp.
300- 350 ml
Egg 1 PC.
Butter 30 g
Dry yeast 1.5 tsp.
Sugar 3 tbsp. l.
Salt 1/2 tsp
For filling:
Cabbage ½ head of cabbage
Carrot 1 PC.
Onion 2 heads
Salt, Pepper Blend.

Cooking method

  • Making the dough:
  • Heat the milk, dissolve the yeast and sugar in half of the warm milk and leave it warm for 15 minutes. In a separate saucepan, combine the remaining milk, egg, butter, and stir. Sift the flour into a bowl, stir with salt, pour the dough and milk-egg mixture into the flour, and knead the dough well so that it does not stick to your hands. Sprinkle with flour, cover with a napkin and put in a warm place to rise 2.5 times.
  • Make filling for pies - Fry onion and carrots in olive oil until golden brown, add chopped cabbage and simmer until tender, about 20 minutes.
  • Pinch off small balls from the dough, knead and lay out the filling and shape the pies. Put the pies on a greased baking sheet and leave warm for 30 - 40 minutes. Grease the pies with yolk and milk and bake in the oven at 180-200 degrees for 20 minutes until they are lightly browned.

: rose: Andrey not every woman can make such pies! I have no words! I bake these myself and almost according to this recipe, only I like saltier dough. Half a teaspoon is not enough for me, a whole tsp. And another question: What is the weight of the finished dough you got if you got a baking sheet of pies and two pigtails.
