If you have a toothache |
If you are away from the community and can get to the dentist in a day or even later, take any of the pain relievers from your first aid kit and take it one tablet three times a day. You can vigorously rinse your mouth with water at room temperature and clean the tooth cavity from food debris, put a crushed tablet of acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) into it, covering it with a cotton ball on top. There is another way to relieve, at least temporarily, a toothache. Moisten a small cotton ball with anesthetic dental drops or drops, which are useful to have in your home or first aid kit... If these drugs are not available, you can replace them with camphor alcohol, valerian tincture. While looking in the mirror, put a cotton ball into the cavity of the diseased tooth. Remove the cotton ball every 5-10 minutes and replace it with a new one until the pain subsides. Some dentists recommend treating toothache with propolis (bee glue) because it has anti-inflammatory and pain relieving properties. To do this, put a piece of propolis into the cavity of the tooth cleared of food debris. And there is also a folk remedy. Prepare a mixture of salt, gruel of garlic and onion, for which you need to grate them or pass them through a special metal "crush". Take everything in equal amounts, for example, half or a quarter of a teaspoon, and mix thoroughly. Put a little of this mixture into the cavity of the tooth, and on top of it a cotton swab.
And the last tip. If you manage to relieve a toothache, this does not eliminate the need to contact dentist... After all, pain is always a sign of trouble, illness. And if measures are not taken in time, the resulting carious cavity or pulpitis can go to the next stage: periodontitis, osteomyelitis and other dangerous complications develop. Remember this. S. G.
