Used to select baking programs. Each time you press the button (accompanied by a short beep) you change the program. By pressing the button 12 times in succession, the display will show respectively 12 programs. Select the program you need. Below we take a closer look at:
- The main one is kneading, raising and baking regular bread. You can also add other ingredients for flavor.
- White bread-kneading and baking bread with a lifting cycle. Bread baked with this program has a more airy structure and a crispy crust.
- Coarse-knead, rise and bake bread from coarse flour. This program includes an extended cycle before baking to allow the whole grain to swell well. However, it is not recommended to use the delayed start function in this program, as this will lead to poor baking results.
- Accelerated - Knead, lift and bake a loaf of bread using baking soda or baking powder. Bread baked with this program is usually smaller and more dense in texture.
- Sweet bread-kneading, raising and baking sweet bread.
- Quick Baking 1 - knead, lift and bake a loaf of bread weighing up to 0.7kg. in the shortest possible time Bread baked with this program is even smaller and staler than baked with the Fast program.
- Quick Bake 2 - Same as the previous one, but used to bake a loaf weighing over 0.7 kg.
- Dough - knead and rise without baking. Take out the dough and form rolls, pizza, steamed bread, etc.
- Jam - for making jam and jam.
- Tart-knead, rise and bake using baking soda or baking powder.
- Sandwich - kneading, raising and baking sandwich bread. The bread has an airy structure and a thin crust
- Baking is just baking, no kneading or raising, and can also be used to extend the baking time on already selected programs.
Colour
With this button you can select the color of the crust: Light, Medium, Dark. Pressing the button, select the desired color.
Loaf size
With this button you can select the size of the loaf. Please note that the baking time depends on the size of the loaf you choose.
Delay in ready time (TIME + or TIME-)
You can use this function if you want the baking process to start not immediately, but after a certain time.
By pressing the TIME * or TIME- buttons, set the time after which you would like to receive the already baked bread. Please note that the delay in the cooking time includes the baking time for the set program. That is, at the end of the delay cycle, you will receive ready-made hot bread. First select the baking program and crust color, and then set the time you want by increasing or decreasing it by pressing the TIME + or TIME- buttons. Each press changes the time by 10 minutes. The maximum period is 13 hours.
For example:
It is now 8:30 p.m. Tomorrow at 7:00 a.m. you want the bread to be ready, i.e. after 1 hour 30 minutes. Select a baking program, crust color, loaf size, then press the TIME + or TIME- buttons to set the time on the display to 10:30. Then press the STOP / START button to start the delay program. The countdown starts (flashing colon) and the display shows the remaining time. The bread will be ready by 7:00 in the morning, and if you do not want to take it out immediately, the oven will keep it hot for another hour.
When choosing a delayed cooking time, do not use perishable ingredients: eggs, fresh milk, fruits, onions, etc.
Heating
The bread maker can keep bread hot for 60 minutes after baking. If you want to take out the bread, stop the program by pressing the START / STOP button.
Memorization function
If the mains power supply was disconnected during the baking process for less than 15 minutes (for model XP-1003 10 minutes), then when the power supply resumes, the bread machine will automatically start the baking program automatically, even without pressing the START / STOP button. If more than 15 minutes pass (for the HP-100 mod. 310 minutes), the program will not be saved and it will have to be restarted. If the power supply was cut off only at the stage of kneading the dough, then it is enough to press the START / STOP button to start the program from the beginning.
Ambient temperature
The bread maker is capable of operating in a wide temperature range. However, it should be noted that the size of a loaf baked in a room with a high air temperature will be very different from the size of a loaf baked in a room with a low air temperature. Recommended air temperature is from 15 ° to 34 ° С.
Before the first launch
- Make sure that you have all the accessories and components, and also check their integrity.
- Wash all parts as instructed in the Cleaning and Care section.
- Set the Bake setting and run it with an empty dish for 10 minutes, then wipe again.
- Wipe dry all parts and reassemble, and the bread maker is now ready to use.
How to bake bread
- Install the pan by turning clockwise until it locks into position. Place the kneading paddle on the drive shaft. Rotate the blade clockwise until it locks into place. To prevent the dough from mixing below the level of the kneader blade, and also so that you can easily remove the kneader from the bread, brush the hole with margarine before use.
- Pour the ingredients into the baking dish. Follow the order of adding ingredients as shown in the instructions. Usually, the liquid ingredients are added first, followed by sugar, salt and flour. Add yeast or baking powder last.If you are making bread with rye or whole wheat flour, the dough will work better when you add the ingredients in reverse order: add the yeast and flour first, and then all the liquid ingredients.
- Make a small indentation in the flour with your finger. Pour yeast into it. Never mix them with salt or any liquid.
- Close the cover gently and plug the power cord into a power outlet.
- Press the Menu button repeatedly until the display shows the name of the desired baking program.
- Click the Color button and choose a crust color.
- Click the Loaf Size button and select the size you want.
- Press the TIME + or TIME- button to set the waiting time delay. If you're ready to jump straight into the baking process, then skip this step.
- Press the START / STOP button to start the program.
- When using baking programs BASIC, WHITE BREAD, COARSE, SWEET BREAD, SANDWICH you will hear a long beep while cooking. It means it's time to add the rest of the ingredients. Steam may escape from the ventilation slots during baking, this is normal.
- As soon as the baking process comes to an end, you will hear a tenfold beep. Hold the START / STOP button for about 3 to 5 seconds to stop the program and remove the bread. Use oven mitts to remove the bread. Open the lid, and firmly holding the baking dish with your hands, turn it counterclockwise and pull it upwards to remove it from the machine.
- Use a non-stick spatula to remove the bread from the mold. Attention! The baking dish and bread can be very hot! Therefore, always hold them very carefully and be sure to use oven mitts.
- Turn the pan over and shake gently to remove the bread onto the rack.
- Remove the bread carefully from the mold and let cool for 20 minutes before slicing
- If you do not press the START / STOP button at the end of the program, the oven will automatically switch to preheating mode and your bread will be kept hot for another 1 hour. After 1 hour the heating stops.
- If you are not using the bread maker or have finished making bread, unplug it.
Remove the mixer blade from the loaf before slicing the bread. Use a special hook for this purpose, picking up the blade with it. Do not remove the blade by hand as the bread is very hot.
special instructions
For baking program ACCELERATED
- This program uses baking powder or baking soda. For their interaction with other components, heat and moisture are required. And therefore, in order to achieve a good baking result, the liquid components are first put into the mold, and then the dry ones are poured. During the kneading process, dry ingredients can clump in the corners of the mold and form lumps, so use a spatula to remove them from the corners.
- For baking program FAST BAKING 1 and 2.
With this program you can bake bread for 1 hour. More precisely, in 58 minutes, these two programs will bake you bread with a slightly thicker texture than usual. The Quick Bake program is used to bake a loaf of bread weighing up to 0.7 kg, and the Quick Bake 2 program is used for bread weighing over 0.7 kg. Note that this program uses 48-50 ° C water, so use a food thermometer to measure the temperature. The temperature of the water greatly influences the final cooking result. If the water temperature is too low, the bread will not rise to the correct size. If it is very high, then the yeast will die and you will not achieve the desired result again.
