But there are many ways to original eggs. And a separate place was won by various makers that change the shape of the egg. Cars, bunnies, or just a very long egg.
In fact, the straight long egg was not invented to be original, but for economic reasons for catering - cafes, restaurants, etc.
An egg is not the most convenient product if you need to make N identical dishes with it. Not only does it take time to clean it up, there is also a lot of waste. After all, you won't be able to cut a lot of correct, identical circles from one egg. And then, someone smart came up with straight long eggs.
I may be wrong, but the Danes were the first to release such eggs. At least they have the largest egg sausage factory in the world. This is already a boiled egg, you just need to remove the packaging and cut it.
I knew about such eggs for a long time, and I saw videos how to make at home. But it was always some kind of self-made device and a lot of trouble, so there was no desire to repeat it. And for some reason no one let out convenient makers, or I didn't come across them. And suddenly I saw a video of a Japanese video blogger who had a similar maker. And not just a long egg, but with an interesting yolk shape.
This is also a funny story, by the way. This video blogger buys all sorts of Japanese nonsense and shoots videos about it. And the Japanese are such entertainers that they have a lot of nonsense. Not only culinary, but various pipes, whistles, and other kawaii, uninteresting and incomprehensible to a European person. Those. in principle, its target audience was the Japanese themselves. He got his 10-20 thousand views and was happy.
But the video about the egg-maker became his finest hour - almost 10 million people watched it. The maker became popular, he was immediately bought by European and American stores. Well, enough of the introduction, let me show you the toy, how it works, and what happens in the end.
UNPACKING
A small pink box, with pictures and hieroglyphs, of at least English words, only Dream land. True, I know Chinese, and I know some hieroglyphs, tk. the Japanese use them. For example, near a flower is the hieroglyph 花, which also means "flower" in Chinese, but I don't know how to pronounce it in Japanese.
On the reverse side there are a few pictures and again the incomprehensible is written.

This is a maker, a bag of stuff, and a detailed instruction in Japanese, but at least with pictures In fact, everything is clear from the pictures, and the video was informative, but I also copied the instructions in English on Amazon. I will quote it along the way.
From the bag I took out a yolk separator and a pin, which turned out to be a handle.
The pin must be inserted into the center of the maker, so that the grooves coincide and rotate 90 degrees.
The maker himself consists of "cups" and stencils (I will call them that).
To get the stencil, you need to turn the cover so that the pins line up with the grooves.
She took off the stencil covers. Here, in fact, is the whole device.

HOW TO USE
It's time to start testing.
Remember to wash before first use.
The instructions say "add about 1.35 ounces of egg white (or about 1 egg for each cup)." There are 4 cups, and they are larger than eggs, so I took 5 eggs. And I prepared two different bowls - one for the protein, the second for the yolk.
We begin to separate the white and yolk.
I didn't have a protein separator before, I usually do it the old fashioned way. But, in principle, it is convenient.
Literally a minute and all 5 eggs are separated.
You need to grease with vegetable oil (thinly) each cup and each stencil.
And pour the protein into each cup.
Do not pour to the brim!
First, according to Archimedes' law, etc., the stencil will raise the protein level. And, secondly, the protein will increase during cooking, as the instructions warn.
We insert the stencil cover so that the pins coincide with the grooves, and turn it.
And so we close all the cups.
We take it by the handle and place it in a suitable sized saucepan with cold water. We light a fire and set a timer for 12-15 minutes. The instructions advise not to boil over high heat. Those. when it starts to boil, you need to "twist the light".
The maker is light and did not sink to the bottom, he floated. Its edge coincided with the water level.
While the protein is boiling, I cleaned up the table, washed the cup from the protein and put the yolk there (because it will be more convenient to pour with a spout later, but I have large containers with a spout). I broke the yolk and stirred it slightly with a fork.
The timer rang, took the maker out of the pan. The fire did not turn off, because I will return it later. The maker is hot, so I put it on the stand. But the pen was not hot. Very comfortably.
The instructions advise you to let the protein cool for 1-2 minutes, and then take out the stencil. I waited a little, but not for long, impatient. The cover must be turned so that the pins line up with the grooves and removed. At first it seemed that the stencil had grown, but we lubricated it with oil - a little effort and it came out.
Wow, it worked!
I immediately removed the stencil from the lid. All the same movements - pins / grooves.
We no longer need the stencil, but the cover is very even.
All stencils were taken out and removed from the covers. In my opinion, it turned out great.
And squirrel to the very edge.
Pour the yolk into each hole.
The yolk was a little short, the eggs were not large. But maybe it will also increase? We'll see.
We close with lids, already without stencils.
And we send it back to the pan. We set the timer for 8 minutes.
We wait!
The timer rang again. We take it out of the pan, the fire can now be turned off. And remove the covers.
The beauty! I took a closer photo.
The yolk increased slightly, but not much. Here protein from exactly 5 eggs was enough, but a drop of yolk was not enough. Well, it depends on the size of the egg.
We will get it. The bottom of the cups is removable. It fits snugly, and if you do not push it down, the stencil lid will not close. But the bottom is dense, the protein did not pour out. It is necessary to press on the bottom of the cup and it, together with the egg column, will rise from the bowl. I didn't take it off, because it was very hot.
A silicone ring was removed with the egg. It does not need to be lost, but it must be washed and returned to the cup. It was it that prevented water from getting inside.
We take out the remaining tubes in the same way.
The yolk is incomplete, so I'm going to trim.
Cut off the edges. And now I have 4 tubes of funny straight eggs with an interesting yolk pattern.

RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS
The maker is very simple, it couldn't be easier.
I liked both the process and the result. I liked that the size of the home is this. I would not know what to make of such tubes, if they were each of 10 or more eggs. I liked that the yolk was not just a circle, but different patterns. Those. in general, I recommend this maker for purchase, because not a single claim has arisen.
The question of practical application and frequency of use is open.
But the thing is really funny.You can definitely surprise guests or pets.
To be honest, I plan to use the maker not only for eggs, but for jelly or marmalade. Only then do not cook, but put in the refrigerator. If it works, then the practical application is much wider than just boiling a cool egg. There is an idea to make mashed potatoes with vegetable or meat filling. True, the size is then too small.
