I cook without oil and much, much faster: 4 kg of plums (preferably Hungarian) pour 1 kg of sugar in halves without pits, leave for a day, the plum gives juice. The next day I add another kilogram of sugar, 10 tablespoons of cocoa (it turns out a pack), put it on the fire and cook over low heat, stirring from the bottom up (trying not to suppress the plum), after boiling for exactly an hour.
At the end of cooking, add 3 bags of vanilla sugar for flavor.
If the plum is firm, as a rule, it does not boil over, and you get a plum in chocolate.
I have not tried it with nuts yet, but the prunes are ripening, this year I will try.
