I put it in two layers, but with an overlap, so that there is space between the rings for airflow. And I put the plum in halves, slightly sideways to each other.
First I give a strong T * 55-60 *, and when the slices are dry and dry, you can move them, or swap them so that they do not stick together. Later, the slices themselves will lose moisture and shrink in size. It happens that by the end of drying you have to dump from two pallets onto one, so the fruits dry out.

Tatyana, thank you very much for your answer!
Please tell me how thick you cut fruits and vegetables into slices? If not for chips, but for "wholesale" preparation in the winter?
Today I dried apples in Dachnik-4 according to the manufacturer's instructions. The pallet contains as much as 180 grams of apples :)) Rings 4-5 mm thick, in one layer.
By the evening I plan to load Voltera, the capacity of the dryer is 1000 kW.

into what slices do you cut fruits and vegetables?

I cut on a Berner grater, with a slice attachment, and no thicker than 5-6 mm. Depends on the softness and friability of the fruit. If dense, you can cut thinner. If they are loose, soft, break when cutting, then it can be thicker.

Sour fruits dry faster, sweet fruits take longer. And their consistency after drying will be different.

Start drying, and in the process of work decide for yourself what and how to do, experience will tell you.
And so, it is definitely difficult to answer, much depends on the fruits themselves, the dryer and ... the weather outside the window
Dry and be sure to analyze and remember what happened, and under what conditions, it will help.

If you put a net between 2 layers of food on a pallet? What do you think?

Voltaire 1000 Lux, apples (rings), slices 5 mm, 1 pallet includes 1 layer of 350 grams, if you put an overlap (Tatyana, thanks for the advice!) - already 450 grams.
While in the drying process; I open it regularly, I look at the "stickiness"

I don't think I would load the dryer this way.
The dryer will work in harness, the passage of heat inside will decrease, increased condensation will be created inside, it will take more effort to remove it (dry it) and thereby increase the drying time of the fruit. A good dryer is expensive.

What is really going to burn over the dryer. You can dry it well in a couple of times by giving the dryer a small break.

Dry and be sure to analyze and remember what happened, and under what conditions, it will help. You will find answers to many questions yourself in the process of work, the main thing is to use the dryer and not be afraid of it
