Buns with sugar and poppy seeds

Ingredients

milk 500 ml
dry yeast 1 tbsp
sugar for dough 5 tbsp
salt 1 tsp
refined sunflower oil 10 tbsp
vanilla sugar 1 sachet
flour 1 kg
sugar for sprinkling taste
poppy taste
melted margarine 100 ml
egg for lubrication 1 PC.

Cooking method

  • Heat the milk, add sugar, let the yeast stand for 5-10 minutes. Then add salt, vanilla sugar, raf. butter and flour. Knead a soft dough. Leave it to come up in a warm place for 40-60 minutes.
  • Divide the finished dough into 30 pieces, the size of an egg (roll the pieces into neat balls).
  • Roll each ball into a flat cake 0.5 cm thick, grease with melted margarine, sprinkle with sugar, poppy seeds and form buns. Allow to come up in a warm place for 20-30 minutes.
  • Bake on a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil at a temperature of 200-220 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

Note

The dough is universal, I make pies, and pizza, and buns from it. Depending on the purpose, the amount of sugar in the dough can be changed. During the fast, milk can be replaced with water, margarine with vegetable oil and its taste remains very good.

though I didn't grease it with an egg on top, I forgot .. I baked it quickly, I couldn’t even stand the time for proofing before baking. It was late, but the buns went up by half anyway !!!!

Forta glad you liked it. The buns are excellent and the shape is beautiful, but the fact that the pale ones do not matter does not affect the taste. Thanks for the report. I think that you will make friends with this test. In my family, this is the usual recipe for yeast dough. I use it to make pies with any filling, rolls, any buns and pizza (milk can be replaced with water). There is a minimum of products and the recipe itself is easy to remember and easy to prepare.

I did on the water! There was no milk! (And poppy too, but not everyone can have poppy seeds, so only with sugar) I generally caught fire quite spontaneously to try how my bread maker kneads the dough and was very pleased with the recipe (thanks again!) And the stove!

But - 1 tbsp. l. dry yeast per 1 kg of flour and plus butter dough - normal yeast. This is a standard small bag of yeast.
