Test baking in the Kenwood BM-256 bread maker: ready-made bread mixtures

Mcooker: best recipes Bread Makers Kenwood

For the last two years, ready-made bakery mixes intended for owners of bread machines have been actively sold on the Russian market. According to the manufacturer, they allow you to save time for laying products, are easy to use and are no worse than bread baked from ingredients. To check or refute these statements, we took for testing the bread mixture "S. Pudov" called "Golden Bread", weight 500 g.

The box contained a bread mixture and a small bag of baker's yeast. The package contains detailed instructions for using the mixture both in the bread maker and in the oven.

We study the composition: baking wheat flour of the highest grade, baking wheat flour of the 1st grade, wheat bran, sugar, whole milk powder, vegetable fat, egg powder, yeast (in a separate bag), salt, does not contain GMOs. Well, the absence of preservatives is a pleasant rarity in our times ...

According to the manufacturer's recommendations for our bread maker, first pour the amount of water indicated on the label into the bucket. (Accordingly, each customer chooses the bookmark sequence that suits his furnace model.)

Gently pour the finished mixture. Ideally, of course, it should be sifted through a sieve, but we try it anyway ...

The mixture was accompanied by a bag of baker's yeast. Poured out ...

According to the recommendations from the packaging of the ready-made mixture, we have chosen the baking program "White bread", weight 750 g... We pressed the "Start" button. The total time for measuring the water, filling the mixture and yeast took about 2 minutes, which is certainly convenient when there is a shortage of free time or, for example, against the background of fatigue after the end of the working day ...

Here we have such a nice elastic kolobok at the end of the batch. The package of the mixture advises you to remove the spatula after the last batch, form a ball with your hands and put it back in the center of the bucket. This procedure is needed to give the bread a beautiful shape with an even crust, this is especially important for heavy rye breads or breads with seeds, dried fruits, bran, etc. For the sake of the purity of the experiment, we decided to abandon this recommendation and left the spatula in the breadmaker.

At the end of the proofing, the bread rose exactly to the edge of the bucket. Healthy and nutritious wheat bran is highlighted with bright spots.

The end-of-bake signal sounded. The lid turned out to be of a beautiful golden color, high. And the smell! ..

They took out a loaf, allowed to cool for 20-30 minutes, cut. The bread turned out to be lush with a light aroma of wheat bran, moderately fried and really golden crust, elastic crumb. Despite the spatula not taken out of the bucket, the bread rose evenly, there are no complaints about its appearance. The taste is very pleasant, with a pronounced wheat flavor. Our prejudice that all healthy breads are by definition tasteless has not been confirmed.

Test results.

Liked: natural and healthy ingredients in the mixture, quick filling of products in the bread maker, which is especially valuable after a hard day's work, excellent baking result without additional "shamanism" and modifications. We recommend ready-made mixtures to actively working townspeople and mothers, summer residents, novice bakers, and in general to everyone who prioritizes the simplicity and accessibility of the home baking process.
