Ingredients

Sweet apples 2.5KG
Brown sugar 150 ml
Honey 50 ml
Ground cinnamon 1 tsp
Allspice, or nutmeg, ground 0.25 tsp

Cooking method

  • You need to take three different varieties of sweet apples, with a total weight of 2.5 kg - 2.8 kg, peel them and grate them thinly, trying not to catch the core with the seeds. Discard the cores.
  • Place in a slow cooker bowl.
  • Mix brown sugar, spices and honey, place apples on top and stir.
  • Cover, letting the steam out and cook
  • 1 hour at MAX.
  • Then lower the heat to MIN and cook for another 7 hours, stirring the apples from time to time.
  • When the contents of the saucepan are a uniform brown color and the apple pieces are easy to knead with a fork, the sauce is ready.
  • I took a hand mixer and beat the sauce until smooth right in the bowl.
  • I put the finished sauce partly in sterile jars, and partly in plastic containers for subsequent freezing.
  • The finished sauce is about 1400 ml.
