Squid Stew (Caldeirada de lulas)

Ingredients

Squid 1 kg
medium potatoes 6pcs
onion medium 2 pcs
garlic 4 teeth
Bulgarian pepper 1 PC
tomato paste 1 tbsp. the spoon
ground sweet paprika 2 tsp without top
Bay leaf 1 pc / for the whole serving
salt, ground pepper
White wine 1 glass

Cooking method

  • Chop the peeled squid randomly, not finely. Cut the potatoes into round slices, the onion into cubes, the pepper into thin strips. Prepared vegetables and squid in layers:
  • 1. Half onion, garlic, bell pepper, sweet paprika, tomato paste. Salt, pepper and bay leaves.
  • 2. Half potatoes, salt, pepper
  • 3. Half squid, salt, pepper
  • And repeat the layers again.
  • The top should be a layer of squid. Put a few sprigs of parsley on the squid, pour a glass of wine. After boiling, add HOT water if required. Reduce gas and cook for 40 minutes. Do not stir.
  • We loved this stew.
