Ingredients

Pollock fillet 500 g
Bulb onions 2-4 pcs.
Carrot 2 pcs.
Garlic 2 cloves
Vinegar essence 1 tbsp. l. ( taste)
Sweet red pepper 1-2 pcs.
Pounded coriander 0.5 -1 tsp
Freshly ground black pepper 0.5 tsp
Allspice 3-5 pcs.
Fresh cilantro handful
Salt and sugar taste
Chili-infused vegetable oil 2-3 st. l.
Fried sesame optional

Cooking method

  • Here's a quick recipe for Korean pollock heh.
  • Heh pollockFillet of white fish, I have pollock, cut into slices no more than 1-1.5 cm wide, salt a little and fill with vinegar and set aside. I diluted the essence with boiled water about 1: 6
  • Heh pollockThinly cut into rings sweet juicy onions and red pepper, peeled from seeds, add to the fish.
  • Heh pollockHeat the vegetable oil in a frying pan and put in it the garlic, cut into small cubes, and the carrots, chopped as for Korean carrots.

    I didn't have a grater on hand, so I cut it by hand.

  • Heh pollockSprinkle quickly with all the previously prepared spices. For this recipe, it is best to grind all the spices in a mortar right before use. Put all the allspice.
  • Heh pollockWe warm up the carrots for literally half a minute, stirring, remove from heat and immediately spread on the fish. Do not let the carrots remain in the pan, otherwise it will become soft. Stir, salt and add a little sugar to soften the taste. Let stand for five minutes and taste the marinade. The basis of the recipe, rather the proportions, are taken from a package of frozen pollock fillets bought on a tip from girls from our website! For which many thanks to them! I made a small portion by eye to my liking.
