Dessert Delight

Ingredients

Per serving:
Banana small ripe 1 PC.
Butter 1 tbsp. l.
Brown sugar (muscavado) 1 tbsp. l.
Cognac (golden rum) 1 tsp
Vanilla ice cream 100g
Chocolate sauce topping

Cooking method

  • This dessert under this name was served in one coffee shop in our city. My husband and I loved to come to them on cold winter evenings, order a cup of coffee and dessert "Pleasure". But already 2-3 years, as he "left" from their menu. Therefore, I had to reproduce it at home. Which turned out to be not very difficult. And so, let's get started:
  • Dessert DelightPeel bananas. Cut lengthwise into two halves and cut again into 4 or 6 pieces, depending on size. You can also cut the banana into 1cm thick rings, but this will only apply to unripe bananas.
  • Dessert DelightDissolve the butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  • Dessert DelightOnce the butter is completely dispersed, add brown sugar and stir until completely dissolved.
  • Dessert DelightPut chopped bananas in the caramel sauce and fry over medium heat on both sides until soft - 3-4 minutes.
  • Dessert DelightPour in the cognac, let it boil and simmer the bananas for a couple of minutes so that the alcohol evaporates.
  • Dessert DelightThis is how boiling, almost cooked bananas look like. This completes the preparation. It remains only to collect the dessert.
  • Dessert DelightPlace the bananas with the caramel sauce in the bowls. This dessert can be served both in bowls and on plates.
  • Dessert DelightAdd a couple of scoops of ice cream. Drizzle with chocolate sauce. You can decorate with a mint leaf (I'm out of it).
  • Serve and eat immediately
