Prazhanina in a pot


Pork 500 g
Potatoes 7-8 pcs
Prunes 100 g
Mushrooms 200-300 gr
Onion 3 pcs
Butter 70 g
Carrot 2-3 pcs
Greens (dill, parsley) taste
Tomato paste (tomatoes) 5 tbsp. l.
Garlic 2 tooth
Salt pepper taste
Bay leaf

Cooking method

  • 1Prazhanina in a potWash the pork, dry it and cut into small pieces.
  • 2Prazhanina in a potRinse the mushrooms well and boil for several minutes in boiling salted water. I used morels, ideally there should be 100 g of porcini mushrooms. fresh or 50 gr. dried. Soak prunes in warm water for a few minutes, then drain.
  • 3Prazhanina in a potPeel and cut the potatoes into cubes.
  • 4Prazhanina in a potCut onions and carrots as well as potatoes into medium-sized cubes.
  • 5Prazhanina in a potMelt butter in a frying pan, put onions and carrots and fry until the carrots are half cooked.
  • 6Prazhanina in a potAdd meat and fry until light crust.
  • 7Prazhanina in a potWe spread the potatoes and continue to fry, stirring for another 5-7 minutes.
  • 8Prazhanina in a potAt the end, add mushrooms and prunes, cook for another 3-5 minutes.
  • 9Prazhanina in a potPut the tomato paste in a pan and dilute with water until the consistency of sour cream, add chopped garlic, salt and pepper to taste, let it boil and turn off. In summer, it is good to use ripe fleshy tomatoes, 4-5 pieces are enough. Remove the skins from the tomatoes and grate or puree in a blender.
  • 10Prazhanina in a potArrange meat, potatoes, onions, carrots, mushrooms and prunes in pots. Pour with tomato sauce, in each pot put a bay leaf and a few peas of allspice. Close the lid and cook in the oven for 30 minutes at 180 C.
  • 11Prazhanina in a potServe the dish hot in a pot sprinkled with herbs. Separately, if you wish, you can serve sour cream.
