Dessert cold cherry soup with rice

Ingredients

Cherry fresh 200 g
Potato starch 1 tsp
Water 750 ml
boiled rice 4 tbsp. l.
Sugar 6 tbsp. l.

Cooking method

  • Free the cherries from the seeds, put in a saucepan.
  • Add sugar - the amount depends on how sour or sweet the cherries are, and on your taste preferences.
  • Pour in 700 ml of water, bring to a boil and cook over low heat for 5-7 minutes, I cooked in a slow cooker on the "Soup" program.
  • While the cherries are boiling, dilute the starch in the remaining 50 ml of water. Pour it in a thin stream, stirring when the cherry is ready, and bring to a boil, but do not boil. Turn off and cool, first at room temperature, then refrigerate before serving.
  • Put boiled rice, boiled in salted water and chilled in cold soup. Add yogurt or whipped cream if desired.
