  • This sauce is very reminiscent of mayonnaise in taste, but with the consistency I have made it up. The recipe contains 1 tbsp of starch, I was afraid to put it upside down and made almost 1 tbsp of starch under the knife, the prepared sauce was thick, but not like mayonnaise, but as sour cream I didn't like its "not smooth" look and I used a submersible blender, it turned out smooth, but it liquefied to the state of a sauce (like kefir is not very liquid). Therefore, in the recipe I have already indicated the starch with a slide. I added dry mustard, in this case, the sauce needs to stand to infuse otherwise there is an omelet smell, I cooked in the evening, so in the morning, having opened and tasted the sauce, I was VERY surprised. Very similar to mayonnaise in taste!
  • Dissolve starch in cold milk, add butter, an egg and a bit of salt, stir well and put on the fire CONSTANTLY stirring, boil until thickened, then pour cold water from the tap into a container and put our container with sauce there, cool CONSTANTLY stirring! Add vinegar, salt, sugar (I don't add), mustard to taste. I always add dry garlic to homemade mayonnaise, so I used it here as well. With dry mustard, the mayonnaise taste will not work right away (and I didn't have a ready-made one), so we send the sauce to the refrigerator to stand.
