Tyrolean potato and milk soup (Kartoffel-Milch-Suppe)


potatoes 400 g
water 100 ml
milk 300 ml
onion 1 PC. average
butter 50 gr.
nutmeg, black pepper, salt taste
garlic 1 clove

Cooking method

  • The soup is the simplest. I did not take photos of the process, because the procedure is very primitive.
  • The recipe was discovered in the book Delicious Potato Dishes. The peculiarity of this soup is the use of a large amount of milk.
  • 1. Dice the onion and potatoes.
  • 2. Simmer onion in butter, add potatoes and lightly fry all together.
  • 3. Put the potatoes and onions in a saucepan, add water and simmer over low heat until half cooked.
  • 4. Pour milk into a saucepan, continue to cook over low heat.
  • 5. Puree soup, season with nutmeg, pepper, salt, chopped garlic. Let it boil.
  • 6. Sprinkle with herbs and serve with croutons.
  • I entrusted all the procedures starting from No. 3 to my blender-soup cooker. A very delicate cream soup with a distinct creamy taste.

I just first make chicken breast broth, and then boil potatoes and everything else according to your recipe in it.
