Jam from three fruits

Ingredients

Unpeeled grapefruit 2 pcs.
Unpeeled orange 3 pcs.
Unpeeled lemon 3 pcs.
Sugar 2.25 kg

Cooking method

1. Finely chop all fruits. Remove the seeds, put them in a gauze bag and place them in a saucepan with the fruit. Pour in 1.8 liters. water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1.5 hours.

2. Thoroughly squeeze the gauze bag and discard. Add sugar, stir over low heat until it is completely dissolved.
Then cook over low heat until the mixture thickens.

If you are not a fan of spicy bitterness, then I advise you to peel the fruit, but the taste of the original product will change (I tried both unpeeled and peeled, I liked the first option much more). I cooked this jam in cotton. It turned out great! Only for density it was necessary to add "Zhelfix".
The total weight of unpeeled fruit should be as close as possible to the weight of sugar (1: 1).

Everything turned out to be not scary at all: before the second cooking, I walked "with my foot", added sugar to taste, barely managed to transfer it to the jar - it hardened very quickly.
After cooling down, the jam became very dense - straight marmalade!
I really liked it!!!
