Polish Makovets with semolina (+ video)

Poppy 200 g
Semolina 120 g
Egg 4 things.
Butter 120 g
Apple 300 g
Sugar 200 g
Dried apricots taste
Raisins taste
Soda 1 tsp
Salt pinch

Cooking method

Pour poppy with boiling water and let it brew for 30 minutes. Strain and scroll the poppy in a meat grinder or blender.
Pour boiling water over raisins and dried apricots and chop finely.
Beat the whites into a strong foam.
Beat the yolks, soft butter and sugar until lightened.
Add semolina and poppy seeds, mix. Add dried apricots, raisins, grated apple, baking soda and mix.
Fold the whipped egg whites into the dough using folding movements.
Pour the dough into a mold (I have a diameter of 26 cm) and bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 40 minutes. Let the cake cool completely and put out of the mold.

For lovers of poppy baking, I suggest the Polish Makovets pie, in which poppy is the basis for the dough. Very tender and tasty, with sourness of dried apricots and raisins. There is no flour in this cake at all.
