A vacuum sealer is not the first device the hostess buys. But if it appears in the kitchen, it will definitely be used.
Extending the shelf life of products, rational use of space in the refrigerator and freezer, cooking using the sous-vide technology, pickling - a vacuum apparatus is useful for all this. By the way, for a person who lives alone, this device will be no less useful than for a large family: many products are sold in packages in such a volume that one person does not have time to eat, and some of the products have to be thrown away all the time. In my case, a large piece of cheese brought from Italy - naturally, in a vacuum - became a serious motivation for the purchase. It lay with me for a month, because I knew that when it was opened it would start to deteriorate, and it was pleasant to eat it a little bit. I immediately decided to choose a vacuum apparatus in the premium segment, so that it would be beautiful, reliable, and lasting. And here's my pick:

It says here that it was made in China, but in fact the firm is Swiss, and this is very much felt in the quality of materials and workmanship.
We open the box.
This is how a special foam profile is made so that the packer is in a slightly open state. It cannot be stored closed - the rubber seals will deteriorate.
The set includes 5 bags 30x40, 5 bags 20x30 and two rolls - 20x300 and 30x300.
The film on bags and rolls is corrugated on both sides. Like this:
A black and white booklet in several languages (without Russian), a separate booklet in Russian, some kind of advertising coupon for solis products, valid only in Switzerland, and a warranty card are attached to the vacuum generator.
The Russian-language instruction is modestly but neatly framed, contains comprehensive information and is written in perfect Russian.

I put a 20 cm wide roll in the roll compartment and pressed it down with the cutter. It remains to swipe them from right to left with pressure, and the desired part of the film will be cut off. It is not very easy to save money here, since a sufficiently long free end is needed for normal sealing. The manufacturer recommends 8 cm from the product plus 2-3 cm for sealing.
Here you can see the cutter in the raised state. By the way, it is not fixed at the top, in the package it was fixed with two pieces of paper tape so that it would not dangle during transportation.
Inside on the lid there is a compartment for storing the adapter for vacuuming in containers. The adapter is included - this is a silicone tube with two identical tips
One end is inserted into a special connector on the vacuum apparatus, the other into the container. The container is not included in the kit, so I cannot check this function. Moreover, I have not yet been able to find these containers on sale in Russia. The official website presents two sets - three hexagonal containers of different sizes, or two rectangular.

The manufacturer claims that the stainless steel on the top of the case is protected from fingerprints - and this is true, which is nice.
The vacuum unit has a removable moisture container that protects the device itself from liquid that can be sucked in when vacuuming wet products.
Well, the heating element looks standard, the seam width is 2.5 mm
The device stands on silicone pads, it is stable enough, the cord is retracted into a special compartment in the bottom. The length of the cord is about 135-140 cm.
And this is how the control panel looks like.
On the right is the selection button for delicate or normal mode, dry or wet product. The default is dry normal. The delicate mode shortens the evacuation time by about half, the wet mode lengthens the sealing time.
The leftmost button is manual mode, that is, it evacuates while you press it. The next button is to interrupt any operation. Then the main button, automatic mode - evacuates and seals in accordance with the characteristics selected on the right. Another big button is sealing without vacuuming. Finally, two buttons, one above the other - container and pickle. The marinate button starts a cycle of several consecutive periods of alternating vacuum and normal pressure, calculated for 8 minutes. This also works not with a package, but with a container.
In the photo above, the left button is lit, which means that the vacuuming process is in progress, as soon as it ends and the sealing begins, the right button will light. Like this:
Then it will go out, and after another three seconds a beep will sound. You can open it. The manufacturer indicates that the buttons located on both sides of the case should be used only when opening, and to close it, you need to press on the case from above. It is best to do this in turn, first one side, then the other, otherwise you have to apply too much force.
Now let's try to pack something. I immediately started with something interesting: I decided to vacuum the pulp of the watermelon. Cut off the required length from the roll, seal its bottom with a button for sealing
Put a piece of watermelon - carefully so as not to wet the edge of the bag. We vacuum in automatic mode, choosing a wet product, normal power. The flesh of the watermelon was not flattened, but quite a lot of liquid went out, and the bag was not sealed. Second attempt: the same, but immediately after the end of the program, we turn on the re-sealing. Everything worked out.
The liquid container contains watermelon juice.
We vacuum the cottage cheese on delicate and normal modes. For clarity, I do it in the same package, like this:
On the left is the delicate mode, on the right is the normal mode. It can be seen that it was flattened a little more.
In general, as I understand it, the delicate mode sucks air with the same intensity, but less in time.
Well, let's give the vacuum cleaner a standard task, finally open my Italian cheese and pack it back:
No questions asked, everything is fine. It was not possible to vacuum the cheese on the first attempt, because I put the bag in a careless way, I did not get the edge into the desired zone. The device worked for a minute, realized that it was impossible to create a vacuum, and turned off. I didn't solder it, which is nice.
In general, I was very pleased with the device, I have not yet found any shortcomings. Perhaps, one can criticize the location of the touch buttons, with which I started the vacuum cleaner several times, simply by moving or closing it. In general, the device is smart, beautiful and definitely very necessary.
