Ingredients

100 g melted and chilled butter

1 jar (200 ml) sour cream, or yogurt, or kefir
100 g bulgarite (feta cheese) or feta, crumble. Here, in short, you can take any white cheese or a mixture of them. I grated the leftovers of mozzarella and Adyghe.
100 g of Dutch cheese, grate, you can mix different yellow varieties. I had a mixture of Dutch and Russian.
1 egg
Possible additives:
half a cup of dried tomatoes, chopped. Or olives, fried or dried onions, strips of baked peppers, corn kernels, spicy fresh herbs, 2-4 cloves of garlic. Or 1 tbsp. l. garlic powder or any dry spices.

Cooking method

  • Preparation:
  • 1. Sift flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Stir in the butter, then the rest of the ingredients and the additive of your choice (if desired). Stir briefly, only until a thick and rather sticky dough forms.
  • 2. Preheat the oven to 175 -180 degrees and line the baking sheet with baking paper.
  • 3. Prepare a bowl of water. Moisten your hands in water and form 25-30 round buns from the dough. If you wish, you can roll them in some kind of sprinkling.
  • I grated another 50 grams of Russian cheese on a coarse grater. I took a large flat plate. She mixed cheese with sesame seeds in it. And in this mixture I rolled buns.
  • And one more thing: I would advise making 16-18 buns from this quantity of dough. Otherwise, it will no longer be buns, but cookies.
  • 4. Place the buns on a baking sheet, keeping their distance, and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. You can check the readiness with a wooden toothpick or break one of the buns. It is advisable to eat it warm or cool it completely and refrigerate it in a sealed container. It is recommended to warm it up before serving. You can also freeze buns.
