Fig Buns

Ingredients

Dough:
Milk 125g.
Boiling water 65g.
Eggs 1 PC.
Butter (margarine) 25g.
Sugar 1 \ 2st. l.
Salt 1h l.
Dry yeast 3.5g. (1h. L.)
Wheat flour 300g.
Vegetable oil 10g.
For dipping:
Poppy 100g.
Sugar 100g.
Vegetable oil (I have refined corn) 100g.

Cooking method

  • I kneaded in Thermomix. After kneading, I left it for lifting, covering the combine with a towel. For HP, it is necessary to heat the bucket (pour hot water). Heat milk to 40C. Knead the dough from all the ingredients. Add vegetable oil last. Dough mode.


  • After raising the dough, pour it onto a richly floured table. The dough is thin in consistency, like a ciabatta. Fold it in half several times, dusting with flour each time. Shape the sausage.


  • Tear off balls the size of a walnut. Dip in butter, then in a mixture of sugar + poppy seeds. Lay out in a mold (I covered with baking paper), starting from the middle, pressing tightly against each other.


  • Leave to rise in the oven with the light on for 30-40 minutes.


  • Bake in an oven preheated to 200C for 30-40 minutes. Until golden brown.


  • And I use refined corn oil - it is odorless and practically tasteless. The buns are low-fat.

The yeast survived. The dough is very soft, but lags behind the walls. The important thing here is to simply mix the ingredients. Next time I will do it in HP - I will take a picture of a bun.
