It is enough to take milk and a ferment with live bifidobacteria. Add sourdough to the milk and mix thoroughly. Pour the resulting mixture into the container of the yogurt maker and insert the plug into the outlet. After 10 hours, the yogurt maker will turn off automatically. After that, you need to put the yogurt in the refrigerator. During the cooling process, the yoghurt will thicken and be ready for use.

So how? Has anyone already used this device? An interesting solution for an ice cream maker without first freezing the bowl. The ready-made mixture will be frozen in the freezer and simultaneously stirred from the built-in 2 AA batteries, and so on until the temperature of the mixture reaches -1C. Confuses only the manufacturer - how high-quality plastic is used there. Is this yogurt-ice maker hybrid sold in Russia? The search engine only gives links to Ukraine.

A strange system ... Either it is described incorrectly, or a very sophisticated engineering thought from the creators. I don't understand how it can work in a freezer

Yes, at first glance, the device really looks absurd, but if you look at it, then everything is not so complicated. We are used to seeing ice cream makers (not vending machines for 20-25 tons) with a bowl, which must first be frozen in the freezer, and then after assembling the ice maker, pour the mixture there and turn on the engine, which will constantly stir the contents until it thickens and turns into ice cream ... The cooking time is limited by thawing the frozen bowl and sometimes the cold ends before the mixture has time to freeze. The Vinis VIY-500W Yoghurt Ice Cream Maker took a different path. There is no special freezer bowl, yoghurt and ice cream are prepared in one container. For yogurt there is a built-in heater from 220V, and the principle of operation is standard for all yogurt makers, but the preparation of ice cream looks like this - to freeze the mixture, the ice cream maker is placed in the freezer, the mixer will work on built-in batteries and stir the mixture until it freezes. The operating mode is controlled by the temperature sensor - it will begin to twist when the mixture cools to +4 degrees, and turns off at -1 degrees. Thus, the cooking process will be optimal. The advantages of this method are that you do not need to freeze the bowl for 18 hours beforehand, you do not need to worry that it will thaw earlier than necessary. Of the shortcomings, perhaps someone will not like the use of batteries, well, the use of a 0.5 liter plastic bowl.

I was interested in this model, but the plastic confuses. Does anyone use it?

I went today and bought it)))
At the same time I had to buy a bottle of sourdough (I took what it was - "Prostokvashino" with cereals) and normal milk (sorry, not homemade - my milkmaid is temporarily unavailable).
Now I sit at it and look at it and try to understand - why how much and whether it is necessary to boil the milk, if it is shop ... Or just heat it up ...

From first impressions: small, neat, well made. The plastic is quite durable. The husband twisted and said: "I thought it would be worse." In short, I'll do something - unsubscribe)))

I report:
Like a yogurt maker - super! I am especially glad that the bowl is one and large, and not many small jars. Did it, poured it into a pot, washed it - and you can put the next portion))) Flies away at once.
As much as I never really liked yoghurts (except for the simplest curdled milk), but here - with a spoon))) And I make sauces, and with jam, and with berries))

It's hard to say like an ice cream maker. She is very often busy with me as a yogurt maker. I made ice cream twice. As it turned out, it almost enters the freezer - the button presses itself)) Well, it doesn't matter. unloaded one of the boxes and everything fit.

I made ice cream for the first time in my life. According to the most primitive "recipe": 200 milk + 200 cream + sugar + vanilla. The consistency turned out a little not quite like that of ice cream, but also without pieces of ice. For some reason I expected it to be softer. Although - maybe this is due to the lack of eggs or something. But to taste ... I ate it with my husband literally in ten minutes. It tasted like something from a distant Soviet childhood. The only thing missing was a sticky plastic vase))

Total after three months: happy with aki elephant.
The conditional disadvantages include the absence of a timer (however, I still prepare yogurt for a different amount of time - I pour the leaven by eye, and I don't heat anything; you still need to keep track of it, therefore the timer is not relevant IMHO) and a relatively small capacity (half a liter) ... For two of us with my husband - just for a day and a half. But always fresh.
Conclusion: the thing is cool. Made reliably and simply. There is nothing special to beat and break. Mine in the dishwasher (does not pull any odors).
