Manniki

Ingredients

Milk 0,5 l
Semolina 0.5 tbsp.
Sugar 2 tbsp. l.
Salt 0.5 tsp
Vanillin
Filling:
Cottage cheese ~ 150 g
0.5 eggs
Sugar 2 tbsp. l.
Vanillin
Or poppy seed filling (poppy + sugar)
Additionally 1.5 eggs and flour.

Cooking method

  • Glass = 250 ml.
  • Cook thick porridge from milk, semolina, sugar, salt and vanillin.
  • Cool until warm.
  • Put the balls of porridge in a bowl of flour with a spoon dipped in water.
  • And form a "pancake" with your hands, in which put a little filling.
  • Pinch like a pie and moisten in a beaten egg.
  • Fry a few pieces in a skillet with vegetable oil. Spread on a tea towel to absorb excess oil. Then put in a thick-walled saucepan, shifting with pieces of butter.
  • When everyone is fried and put in a saucepan, add a spoonful of water, cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Although, in the end, I think it is completely unnecessary. And it was so wonderful.

Note

Yesterday an acquaintance told that she was treated to a very tasty dish - manniki.
And she gave me the recipe.
There were a few things that I adjusted to my taste, reduced and refined the proportions, and have already prepared.

The filling in the cottage cheese recipe. And I, just, made poppy filling for dumplings, and made some manna with it. Honestly, poppy seeds are even tastier than cottage cheese.
After cooking, semolina becomes homogeneous, without grains.

We really liked it, I will cook some more.

Bon Appetit !

An interesting option, I did not know this. Thank you
And I make it easier for mannik, like this https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=47699.0

Gypsy , I hope you will like it .
And we, unfortunately, did not get accustomed to the manna in the form of a pie.

It is surprising that a dish with such an unpromising name for me had such an interesting taste.

We liked it so much that today I decided to cook more. But, I hate to fry in a pan, and it's not very useful. And I went the other way - I baked manniki in the oven, and all with only poppy seeds.

For the whole serving, I prepared fillings from 4 tbsp. l. with a small slice of poppy and 2 tbsp. l. Sahara.

I did everything as I did yesterday. I made only ready-made "pies" in the form of balls. And I put them in generously greased cupcake tins (I had to try new ones), I wanted not to grease it with an egg, but the manniks in the oven didn't turn red. I had to beat the egg and grease. She baked for about 15 minutes. And then, due to the fact that she smeared it with an egg later. And that's enough for 10 minutes.

Here are the finished ones, from the oven:

Manniki

Then I generously greased them with butter, and so:

Manniki

Still hot.

You can pour with honey and eat.

I think you can bake on baking paper too (without molds).

: girl_in_dreams: I make it much simpler and pie-like. My husband likes it with a bang. Now I just put it.
