Pearl barley 3 mult. Art.
Sesame
Onions, carrots

Cooking method

Need pearl barley. Fry it in a dry skillet until a pleasant smell appears. I soaked it for 2 hours before frying, then in a sieve it wrapped around me and dried a little.
Fry sesame seeds in a dry skillet until golden brown. Here by eye (I had about 6 tablespoons)
Further:
cut onions, carrots as you wish.
Pour some oil into the CF and put vegetables there. I roasted the "baking" mode for 15-20 minutes.
Then put the pearl barley, sesame seeds. Salt.
We pour water. I poured 6 cartoon glasses. On recommendation to CF.
Mix everything.
Buckwheat mode

Note
The recipe is not mine. Brazenly stealthy with.
I adapted it for a multicooker.

Barley in my family has NEVER been eaten!
With sesame seeds, for some reason it is completely different. Delicious .....
Left with a bang
Unfortunately there are no photos. Did not make it.
The original recipe contained "black sesame" I don't know that, I never even met. With the usual, it is sooooo delicious.

And is it essential to fry in a dry frying pan? Does the cereal stick after soaking?
emosolova
In the original recipe, the cereals are not soaked. I read somewhere that barley should be soaked before cooking.
My frying pan is ordinary, cast-iron. Nothing stuck. I fried a little and in Mulka ...
If you fry dry, it will probably be even better.

First of all, thanks a lot for the recipe!
and black sesame can be found in the markets - do you have such corners where comrades from Asian countries sell spices? that's where he will definitely be - Uzbeks sprinkle tandoor cakes with black sesame seeds. or in stores where they sell "consumables" for sushi :) that is, products from which rolls and sushi can be made at home. there should be 100% black sesame. so we ask, do not hesitate: "I want black sesame!" it is called that, and it looks exactly like white, only black

Thanks for the recipe! I've been introducing my family to barley for six months now with the advent of the multicooker. I would like to try it already!
I dare to suggest making such a porridge also based on broth, for example, chicken.

Appetizing kaaak!
In general, I like to fry buckwheat before cooking. It turns out differently. The main thing is not to overcook.
You should try this porridge with sesame seeds with buckwheat.
Suddenly delicious?

In general, I realized that barley is just not so tasty ...
It's still delicious for me with fried mushrooms.
emosolova
I haven't tried it, I have to cook it.
There are mushrooms in the freezer. Shitake or shitaki ...
I don't remember how to do it right.
I made soup with them. Quite not bad.

perhaps the tortillas are in some authentic recipe and sprinkled with black caraway seeds - nigella. I will not argue. but I only met with black sesame. the taste is not a problem to determine. so, for what I bought, for what I sell.

Tortillas in the east are sprinkled with a seasoning called Kalindzhi or nigella. Looks like onion seeds with a delicate aroma and spicy taste
Lika
Tortillas are sprinkled with both, black sesame and negella (nigella) are different things, but both are used.

well, cake oil you can't spoil it with sprinkles!
