Greetings to all. I ask knowledgeable people to respond. I bought a Belarusian autoclave (for a fire or gas). I did not find answers to the following questions on the Internet:

1) Does the level of water poured into the autoclave affect the taste and cooking time? (According to the instructions, almost full is poured, but on the internet they write 1.0-1.5 liters of water.)? Who recommends what on this issue from personal experience?

2) At what pressure are canned fish cooked if one atmosphere is pumped into the autoclave?

3) Cooking time for medium-sized fish (0.5-1.0 kg) in 0.5l cans?

4) Is there a difference in pressure and time when cooking canned fish in oil or tomato?

I ask expert practitioners for help in these matters.

Alexei, but what does the instruction of this particular autoclave say according to recipes? Are they there?
I make canned fish in oil and tomato in a pressure cooker. The time is the same.

On question 3): for me, the time depends on the fish itself, that is, how hard its bones are. For example, herring and crucian carp are very different. Time picked up by typing.

Recently, my husband bought an autoclave, I am still not special at all, but as I understand it, the amount of water poured in depends on the type of autoclave, whether it is water or steam. Since your instructions say completely fill with water, it means that you have a water aatoclave, we have a wein autoclave (made by Peter), steam, a liter of water is poured into it. So don't be confused, otherwise you can get very big problems!

Thanks for answers. The questions have not diminished. The autoclave that you purchased can work with both 1-1.5 liters. water and completely flooded. But the autoclave will cool down in different ways. Thus, the cooking time will be different (for canned fish, the difference of 30 minutes is ETERNITY). Of course, you can experiment on 21 cans of the product, but I asked KNOWLEDGE PEOPLE. It seems that the correct manufacture of canned fish is a WAR SECRET ..... I will certainly master this question by trial and error and take this SECRET with me to the grave ..... Thanks again to those who responded. GOOD to everyone.
