Khanum with vegetables (+ video)

Ingredients

Cabbage 300g
Potatoes 1 PC
Carrots (1 - in the filling, 1 - in the roast) 2 pcs
Onions (1 in filling, 1 in frying) 2 pcs
Greens 1 bundle
Spice taste
Salt taste
Garlic 3 cloves
Celery 2 stems
Tomato sauce 3st. l.
Vegetable oil for frying
Unleavened dough

Cooking method

For the filling, finely chop the cabbage, onion and herbs. Grate carrots and potatoes on a coarse grater. Add spices and salt to taste and stir.
Spread onions, carrots, garlic and celery in a cauldron or a deep frying pan. Pour in tomato sauce and fry everything together a little.
Roll out the dough into a wide layer, 2-3mm thick, like on dumplings. Spread the filling over the entire surface and roll into a roll, pinching the edges tightly.
Put the roll on the fry in a cauldron and pour boiling water over. Add salt to taste, bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and cook for 30-40 minutes under a lid.
Cut the finished roll into portions and serve with gravy and sour cream.

Note

This is a delicious meatless version of khanum, which is cooked not steamed, but in sauce. You can take any fresh dough, like on dumplings. If you make it on lean dough and serve without sour cream, then this is a great option for a lean lunch or dinner.

I brew the dough with pumpkin puree. The dough turns out orange, beautiful and tastier.

Tatyana, in the recipe itself, you need to add the dough to the ingredients. And it’s not clear how much and what to take ...
I also thought that it was necessary to wrap it in cabbage))

Added to ingredients. From the very beginning I wanted to add a link to the dough, right in the recipe, but I don't know if it's possible to do that.

marika33, they look like baked goods. Or not?
Marika33
Tatyana, no, they are not baked or fried. Slightly browned, I added a spoonful of water so as not to burn.
I cooked it with sauce, it was also delicious, but today I decided to do it without it.
