I can't boil regular split peas in the Philips HD3158 multicooker. In the rice-cereal mode, the water evaporates, the whole peas remain hard, in the porridge mode even the water is not completely evaporated, the peas are hard. Switch to manual control mode, such as 1 hour at temp. 110 degrees? Is there an automatic mode adequate for peas on this multicooker? I cry with mean man's tears ...

Drew, I would cook peas on a stew program.
You initially chose modes that were not suitable for peas.

It seems to me that it already depends on the peas themselves. I'm in the Orson pressure cooker! could not boil peas in 3 sets! I took a blender, chopped it right in it and put it back on, and only the toga was able to get the porridge. I'm not trying anymore, it's some kind of horror. Moreover, I also soaked the peas.
Before that, I cooked on the stove, also after a time such a result. I came to the conclusion that it was probably just old peas. Or a sort of armor-piercing.

And I would also soak the peas overnight. Cooked beans in a small Panasonic. Soaked overnight, then 1.5 hours on stewing. Even boiled a little, next time I will simmer for 1 hour. Probably also depends on the variety.

I couldn't do it either, I put it in a pressure cooker and even didn't work on the "meat" program. I concluded that these are such peas.

I apologize for getting into the topic, but it just boiled for me!))) I bought a cartoon for the sake of a pea.

I thought that now there is no longer any sale of oak peas, which do not boil down like in Soviet times. Especially chipped.

extinguishing on the program
I figured "Braising" is for the meat. I make meat in a frying pan the old fashioned way, a slow cooker for cereals, cereals. vegetables. The funny thing is that the third calls in manual mode for 1 hour at 110 degrees did not boil at all :-) and had to persuade the softened halves with a blender. We have never had problems with beans, we cook them with meat and mushrooms on a wood-burning stove, in 1.5-2 hours everything is boiled down to an edible state. But peas ....

Thanks to all!

Unfortunately, there are lots of peas with which, whatever you do, it is impossible to cook ...
