Tell me, those in the know!
Soup, which we pour into a clean jar and send to the refrigerator for an emergency, might it include chickpeas? I cook Shurpa and want to put aside a couple of cans for ever hungry.

Why not? A day or two will stand in the refrigerator, nothing will be with him.

Stand in the refrigerator for a day or two
so me for a longer period.
Admin-Tanya suggested this method, when in a sterile jar freshly boiled soup, close a twist lid and cool the top upside down under a towel. Then into the refrigerator. It seems that the soup costs several months.
I have borscht just a few weeks, like fresh. But, in my opinion, there are some restrictions .. something cannot be stored

Oh, Vic, then I pass.

Mirabel, Vika! I haven’t tried it in different twist-offs (lids), I won’t say. In an ordinary jar, he will stand in the refrigerator for two days at most, then it will turn sour.
I pour it into half a liter and into the freezer. Then I gently warm up the jar, it would be nice to just hold it for a little at first, just without a refrigerator, and then pour it into the right dish and warm it up in a micron. If yours are not super-super gourmets, they will eat great.
Along the way, I want to say that I remember about our conversation. Autumn is coming soon and I will make another attempt to find a person.

Len, do you understand what I mean? not just put in the refrigerator, but how to create a conservation effect. Just like that, borscht won't last long.

Thank you! if there is time and opportunity

Masha Ivanova
Mirabel, Vika! I realized. I just don't know if they will be stored in jars for a long time with any conservation.
Therefore, I put the soup in the freezer. Then I don't feel much difference with fresh.

Yes! That's for sure! there will be no difference, I always do this with broth.

Mirabel, no more than two weeks peas, beans, chickpeas, lentils, etc. It is better to freeze, as the girls advise. The pea soup freezes perfectly. But soups with simple cereals, rice, buckwheat, film and cabbage soup, borscht are perfectly stored in jars in the refrigerator. Once my jar stagnated for a very long time, there was rice soup with a lot of tomatoes, I saved the last autumn tomatoes. Stood in the bank for five months, until spring. Only the rice swelled a lot, added a little water, but as soon as boiled.

But, in my opinion, there are some restrictions .. something cannot be stored
From my long-term experience - the fatter the soup, porridge or broth, the longer it will be stored, since fat plays the role of an additional "cork".
Vegetables in soup - shorter shelf life = better than a month, especially when onions.
Tomatoes increase shelf life because they contain acid.
Peas can sour faster, especially if cooked with onions.
I do not sterilize jars, it is enough that they are clean and dry. So are the covers.
And I don't turn it over - twist lids can leak until they cool completely, and the lid is greasy from the inside afterwards

Actually this way guaranteed lasts for no more than a month, after all, this is not conservation in the generally accepted sense.

How to store cooked food in the refrigerator.

can include chickpeas?

The daughter warned that the peas would not stand for a long time, there are time restrictions: peas-lentils-chickpeas-beans (legumes) and noodles - the shelf life is 2-3 weeks.
The rest, including fish broths, can stand for 3-4 months.

Should the cans be in the refrigerator?

as they cool down, so in the cold

Yes, refrigerated storage. This is not a preservation with a long shelf life
Bul
Oh, what a pity! It would be great if it could be stored in a closet.
Mirabel
Thank you all for the advice!
Freeze! But I'll put a small jar in the refrigerator,
I don’t save the soups for more than a month, but I’ll check it.

Storing broths, dolgars - peas, beans, pearl barley, jellied meat and the like - is much more convenient in jars or bottles = a portion for a specific cooking time = jars and bottles can be shoved into any corner in the refrigerator, put on the door, and plus in what you took the next jar - and space in the refrigerator is freed up.
Now it's already autumn, on the street there are no more than 10 *, i.e. no more than in the refrigerator, which means that cans / bottles can be stored on the balcony.
The taste from cans is a bit better than after freezing, after all, the structure of the product does not change.

I don't store soups. But if you pour boiling water into a sterile jar, I think preservation will turn out.

I remember Tatiana with gratitude all the time, when I once again pour borscht into a jar and send it to the refrigerator for storage. And now there is a canned jar of borscht, it has been worth more than a month. This method of "preparation" helps me a lot. There are emergencies when there is no time to cook, but an urgent need to dine. Basically, I store only boron like this, but I poured soups several times, only I don't remember which ones. It's just that I always cook borscht in a larger saucepan, and together with my husband there are surpluses. And I cook soups in a smaller portion, so I don't store them. But I think any soup can be canned and stored for more than a month. Only the main condition is to pour into a sterile jar, tighten the twix lid tightly and store in the refrigerator. I always turn the twisted jar onto the lid until it cools completely.

But if you pour boiling
it is the boiling one that must be poured, this is the most important condition, in addition to the cleanliness of the container

then immediately in jars = semi-finished product.
AND HOW LONG does such a semi-finished product last?
Irgata
Mirabel, Vika, I don't keep such jars for more than a month.
I write the date of filling on the cover.
Because similar jars of different blanks were prepared at different times.
This is not a long-term preservation; sourness is also possible.
And why? We do not winter in the forest))

AND HOW LONG does such a semi-finished product last?

In any case, the food is considered FRESH for the first 4 hours, then the process of natural spoilage of the product begins.
The safest way of preservation is freezing - and that, there are limits on shelf life.

Mirabel
Irina, up to a month is also excellent!

I buy a kilogram of beans, soak, boil until cooked on the stove and freeze.
I throw frozen beans into the soup and borscht about ten minutes before cooking.
Zeamays, thanks for the way! Just for me, just need to get hold of a freezer.
In the meantime, for soup - ready from a can

I don't know how to cook borscht in small saucepans, I cook immediately out of habit in a large cauldron, on the advice of Tatyana Admin, I rolled up borscht in jars last fall in November. Borscht on bones with beans, took out the bones, left the meat. I rolled it up with ordinary lids. I kept it on the balcony, it was cool, the shelf life is three months, the borscht was infused, the taste is rich, tasty borscht, the experiment was repeated in January, it stood until March.I liked the method very much, thanks again to Tanechka Admin for the idea !!! I will close the borschik in the cold season, when it is cold and you can store it on the balcony. I prefer to close it with an ordinary lid, and it's not a pity to open and throw it away)

Was safely eaten for dinner for a sweet soul. I didn't feel any difference in taste. As if freshly brewed, just as tasty

Galina, maybe in the freezer, or still with a small plus?
k @ wka
Mandraik Ludmila, no, in the refrigerator. He just got lost there by accident. There was a jar at the very bottom of the wall. I discovered it by accident, began to remember when I put it and went nuts ...
Opened, warmed up, sniffed. To be honest, I was afraid to eat. But!!! Smells delicious, looks great. I decided what would happen and ate it.
Mandraik Ludmila
Galina, but of course, firstly, the back wall is very cold, about 0 degrees, especially if the freezer is on top, at my back wall sometimes it freezes almost into ice. And secondly, the jar has its own atmosphere under the lid, there is no influx of external bacteria, and if you pour hot and close it, it's finally canned

Well, I wrote "guaranteed", and here is extremism, but.
Borsch, it is quite sour - there are tomatoes in it, and if it is not comic, not "diethical", then the fat content is not weak, the fat also works like a cork, preventing souring.
k @ wka
The jars were sterilized, and the lids too. At the very wall in the refrigerator there is a very low temperature, there is a refrigeration unit on the entire back wall. And the freezer is in my fridge downstairs, 3 drawers. Refrigerator "Atlant"
